It would block or redirect away from a site completely, not just slow it down. But still, just so that I can say I tried, I've ran scans by my anti-virus program and two different anti-spyware programs, including the program that did clear up the problem a few years ago when I did have malware redirecting me away from jennahaze.com. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling firefox and disabling Internet Explorer, although after I reinstalled firefox it still remembered all of my bookmarks, passwords, etc., even after I told it to delete those when I uninstalled, so I don't know what happened there. But whatever. I still don't think it very likely that the problem is on my computer. But if others have no problem with the network being slow, then it shouldn't be the servers. So it must be a relay between where I am at and Montreal. But another weird thing is that both the members' area and the preview sections of premiumpass sites are super slow for me, whereas the preview sections of brainpass sites are fine for me. I'm not currently a member there, but I would assume the members' area of that network would be just as fast as the preview sections. So something, somewhere is really slowing down the premiumpass network for me, while leaving its older sister network, brainpass, unaffected. Strange. At least I will he using a different ISP in a little over a week, so if it is this local ISP, the problem would be solved. We shall see. Once I am on a photo set page, the thumbs load fairly quickly, and I can click a thumb and load a pic fairly quickly. But zip downloads are Sloooooowwwww and quit before I even get 80 KB. Obviously incomplete. And getting to that thumbnail page can take a while. And I just tried to load a Lexi Belle video page to see how well the videos download. The page is still loading after 10 minutes. Never mind, I just finally got the page loaded, and tried a download. The video downloaded fine. I canceled the download myself before it was complete, but it was going pretty fast, and had over 10 MB downloaded already before I canceled. So whatever the problem is, it's affecting the webpages and the zip file downloads but not the video downloads. I'm hoping that that also rules out any lingering doubts that the problem is on my own computer. Any ideas? [Link] |

However, if you know for a fact that other people are not experiencing the same problem when performing the same actions then it could be a router is getting hammered somewhere between the server and your computer. |

I haven't heard anything more since then. Probably from some combination of him not having an answer for me and him not checking his e-mail. |

| Robert Member My past is a foreign country. Most things are different there, including word usage. 503 Posts 12/06 | A while back I was having a 'problem' with a web site that wasn't loading correctly in my browser. No other problems with any other web sites. Contacted the webmaster and they couldn't figure out what the problem was and had no reports of this problem from any other users. To make a long story short I removed (un-installed) the browser and installed it (re-install). Problem went away. I didn't suspect a corrupted browser since it worked fine everywhere else except this one web site. But (ah...the big but) that was the problem. |

| Gentleman Jon All-Star Member 1881 Posts 6/05 | Anyway, I don't know what was going on with my computer earlier, or what the anti-virus software update was doing beyond updating the virus signatures, or if any of those problems might have somehow been causing my system to load data from certain servers extra slow. But the important thing is that I can really use all of Premiumpass again for the first time since May 5, and my computer is hopefully stable and functioning normally again after this past weekend, whether the issues were related or not. |
