Rented this today. During the Kaylynn scene the screen freezes right after the layer change around the 1:30 mark (sound familiar?) and continues to be choppy and freeze forcing me to skip to the next chapter (twice) before finally being able to watch the pop shot. Pretty much everything right after the layer change in that scene is unwatchable (freezing) until the last chapter of the scene (popshot). The next scene which has Katrina Kraven also freezes once near the beginning and I have to skip the first part of the scene, it's okay after that.
One other thing I noticed:
The Kaylynn scene is noticeably blurrier than the other scenes in this movie, it's almost like I was watching a PXP disc, no sharpness at all to the picture and very dull looking. The difference in picture quality of this scene compared to the others in this movie is like night and day, it's very blurry while the others are very sharp and crisp.
However, I noticed something else strange about the Kaylynn scene.
If you watch the behind the scenes footage of the Kaylynn scene, the picture is very clear and sharp, much better looking than the actual scene. It looks almost like a totally different camera was used to film the BTS footage and the actual scene, I found this very strange.
Could it be an authoring problem? I can't see why the BTS footage would look so much better overall in clarity and sharpness than the footage used in the movie.
It looks like a different camera was used to shoot the BTS than was used to shoot the actual scene, or did something happen to this scene during the authoring or replication process?
