Here's a shot that I took this past March of 42nd St itself... shot from 8th Ave. down toward 7th Ave. (7th is where the main Times Square area is----which is the area that Galento's most recent photo above appears to be of--that's even different now, btw, as much of it has been cordoned off for foot traffic as a sort of sit-down, outdoor "park".). 42nd St -- March, 2012:  Just for fun, here's a shot that I took of what's left of the "Show World Center" (8th Ave. and ~42nd St), which apparently used to feature everything from X-rated videos up through live sex shows in a multi-level "circus" atmosphere. It was apparently quite popular. People like Joey Silvera, Jamie Gillis, Sharon Mitchell, Vanessa Del Rio, etc. all worked there in one form or another... Some of them felt much safer than others, and Show World and Show Follies were among the safest.
