As for getting the correct info on other people's sites, sometimes it's hard enough for them to just list the movie title and company name correctly.  [Link] |

It may not be a legal requirement to state whether titles are soft or hard-core, but I'm with you here as regards it being the moral duty of the company boss not to mislead his or her customers. The reason why I posed this question is that I recently purchased a title from a USA dvd company and found, upon delivery, that it was soft-core. As advertised on the web site, there is no indication it is soft-core and indeed all of the actors appearing in the movie are RENOWNED for their hard-core performances. I was very annoyed. It isn't worth returning one title as it's going to cost me just as much to return it as it would be to simply keep it (where I live). I won't shop at that store again. I won't shop at that store again." I wouldn't place TOO much blame on the store. They may not have been clear that it was any different, either. However, as a general statement, I am constantly amazed and annoyed at how many adult sales sites and stores know absolutely nothing about adult product. It doesn't help them much either that many of the manufacturers have such a casual attitude about their OWN product. But, to side with you, I know there's been many times where we've given a store specific info about a title (to help sell it, or to explain stuff to their customers), and none of that info appears anywhere on their sites. We had a problem similar to yours about a year ago. We had made 90-minute R-rated (not showing pussy) versions of some of the Buttman at Nudes a Poppin DVDs. These were sold in some music stores and on mainstream websites like amazon.com. Our normal X-rated (softcore, but showing pussy) versions of the DVDs are over 2 hours each. Many people who weren't aware of the difference because there was no info available at the place of sale, bought the 90-minute version and were very disappointed. [Link] |

I have bought, in good faith, a dvd I cannot watch. It's as much use to me as a chocolate fireplace. It's the first order I made with the company, I should have stuck with the companies I know best. Everything okay so far. Then the movie started. I began thinking, "this director sucks..." Then the cent dropped. "FUCK! It's soft-core." I nearly flung it across the room. Grrrrrr... It's awful being stung. If guys wanna buy soft-core, let there be soft-core sites. Soft-core titles have no place on what is essentially (as you remarked PornManiac) a site with 99-per-cent hard-core titles. Rump. [Link] |

When I complained to the mail order company I got the usual "this is how we got it" statement. However, on a whim I wrote Elegant Angel about it and about a month later I got another copy of the movie from the mail order company. When I called them to find out why they had shipped me another copy of the movie I was informed that Elegant Angel had called them and made them replace the version they had sent me. The cost of the disc could have been credited to my account but since I will not be shopping with them again, there's no point. I'm just putting it down to a bad experience.
