I really feel for men, because women are so particular about what gets them off. AND, what gets them off one day might turn them off another day. What might turn them on during foreplay might be a disastrous mood-killer later in the session, and vice versa.
On top of that, each woman is constructed differently, with different levels of sensitivity in different areas of the body. What some women find pleasurable, some might find painful. AND, sensitivity changes throughout a 28-day cycle, and even moment to moment.
I'm sorry, but the only person that can answer this question is your wife. And her answer might be different a week from now than it is today. That's just the way we're wired. I've finally accepted this about myself, and quit thinking there was something wrong with me because I didn't enjoy every single sex act every single time.
But speaking from experience through my own sexual growth, I've found that I enjoy a lot of sex acts more if they're performed well into lovemaking. I'll likely respond negatively or indifferently to anal play early on, when I'm not warmed up. It doesn't warm me up. Neither does cunnilingus. It doesn't matter how skilfully he plies his tongue down south, nor for how long, if he does it as foreplay. But if he does it a half-hour into some rigorous fucking, I'll shoot into orbit.
Lastly, your wife might only be familiar with the clitoral orgasm. It's what she knows. She might expect the pleasure to always be centered there, and achieved by direct contact. Thus, anything else you do to her in the meantime is merely a "distraction" from the building pleasure she's focusing on, making it harder for her to reach the familiar type of orgasm she knows so well. So if she can get into the mind-that it's all inter-related; that it's all one big orgasm building all over the entire lower half of the body, she might hang on and see what happens. In that case, her orgasm could be very different than any she's experienced previously.
Again, I speak only from my own perspective. Each woman on the forum will have a different answer. The most important person to ask is your wife.
