Hi. I'm a man in my twenties who is still very new and inexperienced in sexual matters. I have a couple of questions regarding foreplay that I hope you guys and gals can help me with. Please don't take offence or feel disgusted.

First of all, I discovered in my early teens that I find a girl's or woman's armpits very erotic. I'm not talking about a fetish for hairy, smelly armpits, but an attraction to smooth and clean-shaven ones. I often fantasise about kissing or licking a woman's armpits. Is this normal? Does anyone else include the woman's armpits as part of foreplay or sex? I see most of the time that foreplay focuses on breasts, butts and clits, but I've never seen armpit-play, not even in porn.

Secondly, how long should foreplay last? I'd like to know how much time I can explore a woman's body without her losing interest and becoming bored.

I'd appreciate any advice you guys and gals here can give me. Thanks.

Armpits: Probably depends completely on the woman. Most people are at least somewhat ticklish there. If she doesn't enjoy being tickled then you will get shoved away & smacked down . So for myself at least the answer is no .

Foreplay: Again it depends on the woman. If she is enjoying what you are doing then it really can't go on too long. If you are slowly building her up to a shattering orgasm then I doubt if she is going to start complaining . If however she sighs heavily, rolls over with her ass in the air, & grumbles "Just stick it in me already" then you've probably gone on too long .

Ah, well, I've had my armpits furry and I've had them shaved. Not only can you kiss armpits and fondle them and smell them, you can fuck them. I wouldn't try it on a first date, though. It's more of a novelty for most people, not a main course. Somebody who knows you well and likes you may be open to giving the whole idea more play, though. Depends on the girl and on the relationship.

As far as how long foreplay should last before the girl is bored -- hopefully she is expressive, and you can see her expressions, and she talks or coos or something. You just have to watch her and listen to her and feel how she moves and observe what she likes. Hopefully she is not too timid, and will take some initiative to move things along when that's what she wants. Observing the other person's reactions is a major part of the whole deal.

Ah, as for ticklishness -- start when she is already aroused, and when you touch the area, don't sneak up or suddenly appear there, apply your hand firmly and don't move it around for about 20 seconds. Then stay firm and slow. The ticklish idea will wane for her. Apply a firm, broad, lavishly slow tongue.

If she likes being tickled, that's a different technique.

1) there's a fetish for everyone and every body part so there is no use in feeling bashful about it. Instead become comfortable with it, embrace it, learn about yourself and realize what gets you off. Then teach your lover the finer points of your fetish in exchange for learning one of hers. Talk and tease, do things you think you shouldn't, do things you think you must.

2) Foreplay should last as long as you both want it... There are no rules and there's definitely no rush when you're between the sheets. Honestly, is there something you'd rather be doing than giving and receiving pleasure?

Urghhh, don't lick deodorant! Licking armpits is an after-shower activity.

Thanks everyone. Your advice and suggestions have been extremely helpful. It's a relief to know that I am not abnormal. Although I won't be practicing what I've learnt anytime soon, at least I'll know what to do when the time comes. No deoderant-licking for me:)

lindi, what do you mean by "you can fuck them (armpits)"? Is there a way to do that? Also, I didn't really understand your technique for minimising ticklishness for the woman. Would you mind elaborating a little for me?

Lastly, during foreplay with someone for the very first time, is there anything strictly taboo? Is there any act that women are known to dislike in bed, especially for someone new at sex? Also, I've read that fingering a woman's G-spot might cause squirting. Is squirting a real orgasm, or just a side-effect?

Well, for the ticklishness, you know how you can be in a ticklish mood sometimes, and sometimes not? If you are dead-sober-serious and upset, for instance (like somebody just died), it's unlikely you'd be ticklish. Whereas, if you are already joking around, or have already been tickled on another part of the body, you're all ticklish.

When you WANT somebody to be ticklish, you get humorous and giggly, every touch is all sneaky and spidery-light, maybe you are wrestling. To minimize ticklishness, just avoid that sort of thing and do the opposite. Don't cultivate a sad mood, of course, just a very serious, sensual, mood. Re-read my other post, you'll get what I mean. It's hard to tickle anybody with a rock-solid, heavy, slow touch. And when somebody is already aroused, they are not in a mind-frame to perceive a steady, solid touch as tickling.

For fucking the armpit, think booby-fucking -- you have to create a tight area. She can draw her arm tight against her body. Then you just snug in a penis. It doesn't matter how you line it up -- it's less awkward with her sitting on the edge of a bed than with her laying on her back -- you just work it out. If she's smooth shaven, you're gonna need some lube.

And if she isn't you'll probably want some anyway. A good rule of thumb is if it isn't naturally lubricated & you want to screw it then lube it up.

As to being ticklish. I used to be extremely so - a back rub would leave me helpless on the ground. Eventually I got desensitized enough to enjoy them. As Lindi said, it takes a firm touch at first so as not to tickle them. Once they have grown used to your touch/desensitized a bit then you can lighten up on your strokes.

No probably not as such (I wouldn't shave her head & glue the hair on the dog, that may be over the top ). If anything it is a judgment call as to how well you know her, how she is reacting to what you are doing before you do something else, etc. For a brand new person though I would probably stick to the more traditional erogenous zones until you get to know her better.

I was wondering about that... being naive neither may know what "normal" limits are.

I know if I take enough care and time with foreplay to get my wife extremely turned on she'll do things she normally wouldn't... or at least consider them before she says "are you fucking crazy?"

It really comes down to silent mutual decisions... but don't be afraid to ask and encourage her to do the same. The real talent comes when knowing you don't have to ask (or be told) and you can spontaneously fulfill her fantasies

Spoken like a true guru.

I remember my first attempt at foreplay, I was so tense! But I had the luck that the girl that I was with sorta controlled the tempo and encouraged me to put my head near places I'd never seen before from that close.

After that experience, I took the lead in the next foreplay sessions. For me, it had all to do with being assertive and adventurous.

Right, so to re-emphasize, it's not a first date thing. You need a girl who's relaxed and open to new things (or who trusts you), and who is already all turned on, and you need a seductive way of saying, "Here's something kinda crazy that I'd love to try." It's not an everyday thing for people to do, but it's harmless and playful, no need for anyone to be freaked by it, if you approach it in an unthreatening way.

"it" may be something you can try on the "first date" but we don't know what evil thoughts are running through young eva4ever's mind.

(I'm not talking about "pitlingus", more like oral or other mainstream sex)

It's usually a good bet to go slow. If you two click there will have plenty of time to explore fetishes and become bored with them later.

If she is very new at sex then there are things that might upset or frighten her. I was once with a girl who was afraid to let me discover that her pussy was wet. She thought I would be disgusted with her. (I'm serious. No one had ever told her what to expect.)

It's important to listen to her. Not just her words, but "listen" to the reactions of her body too. Everyone's likes and dislikes are different.
