I read about this as well....scary shit as always.
Yes, not that long after the one in the US I suppose but it is a very real danger in this industry. The performer has come forward and is now known and is getting retested tomorrow I believe so hope everything goes as well as it possibly can. I also hope this doesn't have too much of an adverse effect on the UK industry as it is doing so well at the moment and getting better all the time thanks to studios like Killergram.
Now that sounds interesting... Is she doing hardcore?

Twisted if you click on the AITA advice link I posted above then you can follow the whole thing on there. Jonny from what I gather she came forward herself pretty quick and all the performers I follow on twitter have been very supportive of her especially now we know it was an error at the clinic. Like you say though there will be those that won't feel that way. The whole thing does highlight the everyday dangers the performers we love so much face for our entertainment. If anything I hope it will wake up those performers that also escort that provide unprotected services to just how much damage that can cause for just a few extra pounds in the purse. The main thing that worries me is that if they fucked up a neg into a positive then what stops them making the opposite error and allowing a positive performer carry on with a negative cert? Big danger and I would encourage all performers to be tested, whether they are due or not, before carrying on with scenes, shoots etc... Edited by - woodsy on 4/12/2012 8:11:04 PM
^Great post woodsy. She came out almost immediately after her name was mentioned and handled herself in the most dignified manner, displaying maturity far beyond her years. Like you said the majority of the performers supported her unreservedly. The concern I have is whether this will harm her opportunities to work which would be so unfair, just wish her name had never been made public and only should have if her 2nd test was positive. edited to add: I too share your concerns about the test and will be very interested how that happened, I'd also like to know if the 2nd test was carried out by a different clinic. Also I was surprised to find out that although the performers are tested monthly the hiv results can take up to three months to come through, something AITA are attempting to address.
