ok - so i dont know what setting i turned on/off in photoshop but now this annoying little icon shows up in the top right of every image i pull up! it has the number 01. which i assume is the designated layer & then next to that it looks like an envelope icon. any quick soultions?

you need to hide slices - you can do this thru the slice menu or the window menu

another photoshop question:

im trying to "save for web" an image ive edited like ive done a million times before but now it gives me the error message "could not perform because an assertion has failed". can anyone help?

ok heres how its going - im using ps 7 & i first uninstalled & reinstalled with no help, then i tried to reload the 7.1 patch & then that failed because it couldnt recognize the .exe file. oh & also made sure i was in rgb color mode & made sure the file wasnt corrupt - this was all the help adobe online could offer.

ok so im trying oatmeals info he provided but maybe im too frustrated right now.
