After seeing the winners list from the 2000 AVN Awards, I decided to track down a copy of Jonathan Morgan's Double Feature! from Wicked. This movie won the following awards: Best Actor in a Video: Randy Spears, Best Actress in a Video: Serenity, Best Art Direction in a Video, Best Video Screenplay, Best Video Editing, Best Comedy, Best Supporting Actress in a Video, Shanna McCullough, Best Packaging, and Best Director of a Video: Jonathan Morgan. It was pretty much the equal as far as acclaim to Seven Deadly Sins, which won many of the awards in the Film categories.
This video is not yet available on DVD. I was lucky enough to find a VHS copy available for rent otherwise I would have had to shell out $23+ to buy a VHS copy. I suspect that's what the eventual DVD will be sold for, so that wasn't an attractive option. Anyway, here's a short review:

In a spoof/recreation of the campy black & white horror films of the 1950s, Double Feature! is actually two short movies plus some "coming attraction" trailers. Morgan recreates the "Ed Wood" movie style to a 'T': from the music, to the over-dramatic acting, to the arching screen fonts of the day, you really feel like you're watching a cheesy 1950's drive-in movie.
The movie starts out with previews for fictitious movies starring "Rip Rockwell" (Randy Spears) and "Susie Cheescake" (Serenity). The trailers are "Revenge of the Gangbang Zombies," "Death Rides a Rubber Horse," and "Attack of the 12-Story Dildoes." There's no sex in them but they're good for a laugh and really put you in the right mood to watch the "main attractions."
The first "movie" is called "Attack of the Horny Bimbos from Outer Space," starring Rip and Susie. The plot is stereotypical: Alien women come to Earth to enslave humanity by turning men into sexual slaves. Jewel De' Nyle plays the alien Commander Clitoris, who has two sidekicks, including one played by a chain-smoking Shanna McCollough, who has to pause in each scene to take a few last puffs on her cigarette ("Wait...(puff)...wait...(puff)...just a second...(puff) Okay, I'm ready! (flicking the butt to the ground)" before battling the humans. Rip and Susie play scientists who come up with a radioactive serum that turns a man's semen into a substance lethal to the alien invaders. Naturally, Rip takes the potion and proceeds to save humanity.
The second feature is "Man Made Beast," where Susie is supposed to be a mad scientist who tries to create the ideal sexual plaything. The result is a Frankenstein-like man (played by Rip) who proceeds to have sex with several women before he's hunted down by an angry mob.
You can't help but chuckle at the plots, the costumes, and the dialogue because they are as ridiculous as the films that inspired them. And, since it is a porno, there's plenty of sex going on. It's impossible to miss too, since the plot scenes are filmed in black and white, while the sex is in color. So you know that you're going to see some action when the color fades in.
The movies ends with several minutes of very funny bloopers from the filming. Performers flubbing their lines, having laughing fits trying to deliver serious dialogue, interruptions during sex, and so forth.
I'm looking forward to this movie on DVD...it's a funny, high budget porn comedy that deserved the number of awards it won. It may be cheesy and silly, but that exactly why it is so enjoyable. Who said you can't laugh while seeing people fuck?
