In your opinions, what are the sexiest DVD's that a person could buy at reel.com. Rated NR or NC-17 at a maximum (not XXX). It doesn't have to have sex, just extremely sexy women who are showing lot's of leg or sensuality. One's that I've heard of before are Damage, Vampyros Lesbos, and 9-1/2 weeks. A cable variety of sexiness, like a "Red Shoe Diaries" kind of thing.
Just Curious....

I just searched the DVD Talk forum 'cause we had a thread on sexy r-rated DVDs a while back. I can't remember all of the suggestions. Here's what I do remember:
Wild Orchid
The Pillow Book
In The Realm of the Senses
The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover

I personally thought the second Wild Orchid was a very sexy movie.

Let's see...
9 1/2 Weeks: This film seemed to have started the entire genre of erotic dramas. The food scene is a classic...
Wild Orchid: This one gets my pick. First of all it's a Zalman "Red Shoe Diaries" King movie. Second, it's got the lovely model Carré Otis. Third, there's the climactic ending scene (pun intended) where rumor has it that Carré and Mickey Rourke weren't acting.
In The Realm of the Senses: It may be unrated and "mainstream" but there's no doubt that the actors were not acting. There's penetration and oral sex involved. This Japanese film was shot in France because there would have been no way in hell that it could have been made in Japan at the time. I'm also suspicious that Lorena Bobbit got her inspiration from this movie.
The Cook, the Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover: I saw this one in college, when the campus film society showed it on a Friday night. The place was packed, and I'll never forget the crowd's reaction to the final scene. It gives a whole new meaning to "the other white meat"! Anyway, I think this film is more bizzare than sexy.
The Pillow Book and Karma Sutra: These films have more artistic merit than sensual merit. I wouldn't even consider them to be erotic films....

Unfortunately, I don't believe you can get The Cook, the Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover on DVD yet. I don't really think it's a "sexy" movie. Don't get me wrong, it's a cinematic masterpiece in my opinion and there is sex in the movie, as well as mutiliation, humiliation, and a lot of disturbing scenes.

Thanks for the suggestions all...
Saki, thanks for the breakdown. Some of these titles I saw many years ago and I'll have to go back and see them again. It would be nice if "Red Shoe diaries" was released on DVD, or if the showtime series was. I used to watch those when I was 12. I wonder if it's as good as I remember...
Any other "Short Skirt" movies you guys can think of?

I Like to Play Games is a fun movie to watch especially for Lisa Boyle fans. It's made by Simitar though, so the transfer is just okay and I don't think it's in Dolby Digital. But it's a cheap disc you can get at all the online stores. Get the unrated version with the orange cover, not the R rated blue cover.

SFan: Red Shoe Diaries is supposedly already out on DVD, but the catch is that it's only a Canadian release. It was among the group of $7.99 DVDs that [url=468424]http://www.videoflicks.com</A was (and presumably still is) offering. I ordered Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures (and am still waiting for it three months later--supposedly it shipped last week though). But I'd hold off ordering RSD until someone posts a report on DVD Talk about the quality of the discs.

Personally, Out Of Sight with Clooney and Lopez is one of my favorites, and the first one that hits my head after 9 1/2 Weeks. Also, Basic Instinct can't be left out.

In the catagory of off-the-wall nominations, I would suggest The Color of Night with Bruce Willis and Jane March. Get the Director's Cut. My then-girlfriend introduced me to this film, and I thought the romantic scenes were done excellently.
The plot ain't too shabby, either. Not great, but not too shabby.

You might also want to check out Sly and Robbie's "Stripped to the Bone". Techno drum & bass combined with local strippers and freaky scenery. The music is good and so is the eye candy.

I would have to second that Bound was a good one for those of us that are Gina Gershon (Spelling?) fans (in my humble opinion you must be dead if you don't think Gina is sexy). Also liked 9 1/2 weeks.

Jennifer Tilly is no slouch either, especially when she uses that ditzy/sexy accent of hers. I agree that Gina Gershon is too hot. Those lips alone would put her in my top five list of sexiest brunettes.

Gargoyle-Any idea if Snoops is still on TV? That show was weak as water, but Gina made it all worth while.

I actually like Jennifer Tilly more than Gina Gershon, but both are nice.

Let's not forget the Donald Sutherland/Julie Christie coupling in "Don't Look Now" Was that Hot or what. Don't think it's been surpassed for sheer eroticism. Nic Roeg's editing on the scene was a stroke of genius!

zaxx,
Sorry for the long delay in replying. I haven't read this thread for a while. I just read recently that _Snoops_ got the ax. Probably the stupidest network decision since NBC cancelled _Earth 2_ but, oh well. Since ABC did kill Snoops they'll probably run some filler (i.e., Who Wants to be a Putz for some Cash.) until they develop something to satisify the Lowest Common Denominator.

Bound, to me, is a film that can stand up on it's own without even having the sex side of it in there. One of my favs. I liked Wild Things as well, but take out that scene and I question how much I liked it. Anyone remember Henry & June? Wasn't that one of the first films to get an NC-17 rating? I simply can't remember the movie at the moment, guess I should rent it or something, but I thought it was supposed to be an erotic flick.

Wasn't Henry and June about some slightly retarded kids who fall in love? I don't remember any scorching scenes in that flick, or am I thinking of Benny and June?
I thought Wild Things was a great movie that did have some heat, but would have been good even without it, what a twisted ending.

Reel.com has an article "The Century's 25 Best Erotic Films" on their website, with appropriate links to the films for sale.
Here is the link --

I agree with Gargoyle: Both BOUND and WILD THINGS are two of the best... especially if you're into the whole girl/girl thing... Howard Stern motto: Lesbians=ratings.
As for zaxx, the series SNOOPS has been cancelled, and I can't say I'll miss it... it was bad. Maybe FX will pick it up, they just picked up that crappy HARSH REALM series. They'll show anything.
