i just saw this RAME post and was wondering what this guy was talking about. That cute chick Amee Donovan left porn because she caught HPV from some porn actor? Who?

Anybody know how many girls leave this industry with HIV or other serious illnesses and nobody really knows about it? Girls come and go fast, many have no real attachment to the business so when they leave they disappear into the general population. So it's possible a girl can get sick and retire or retire and then get sick and nobody in the biz would ever know.

here's the post:::

> I watch a lot of porn and you see these little hotties come and go,
> used and abused without gettting any sort of contract? Why is that?
> Ashley Blue just now got signed?! WTF? Shouldn't a performer as young
> and voracious as Ashley been snapped up a long time ago?

I hope that it is just because the girls do not want to "feature dance" at
the strip clubs and therefore decide to not sign a contract. I agree
though, that I am sick and tired of the worst cumdodging whores getting
the contracts and the benefit of the publicity machines of Mesrs. Hirsch
and Orenstein. I wish more gorgeous girls like Avy Scott, Venyus, etc
would have the benefit of the publicity machines of the major studios.

Amee Donavan is a goddess. She had the best set of natural breasts this
business has seen since Traci Lords. To think that she ended up spending
most of her hard earned cash on medical treatments and contracted HPV is a
shame. I applaud the efforts of Greg Zeboray to provide affordable
healthcare coverage to talent and can only hope that industry
professionals use more "clean" talent and fewer disease spreading vermin
like ******.

still reading RAME, don't do it often so lots to read.

How many girls did Marc Wallice transmit HIV to? He should be in Hell. Nobody who knowingly endangers other peoples'health deserves any compassion. How is he is not in jail? No producer, director, studio was ever sued?

hmmmm....... that sucks.

Go do a search in the Star Crossed forum. Amee recently started a thread where she talked about the medical problems that she currently has. HIV isn't one of them.

HPV is NOT the same virus as HIV!

HPV stands for human papillomavirus. It is an STD, and certain strains of it can cause tissue abnormalities in the cervix (the lower part of a woman's uterus); in rare cases these abnormalities can lead to cervical cancer. I remember Amee Donovan saying that she had abnormal Pap smear lab tests, which would detect these tissue abnormalities, and that she had to get treatment for this, but I don't recall if she ever said she had the HPV virus infection. I'm not certain what symptoms a man has if he has the virus, or how you could track which man a woman gets the virus from, if she has multiple partners over a short period of time. At any rate, these are rarely life threatening infections, and I don't believe the porn industry requires testing for the virus.

HIV stands for human immunodeficiency virus, the infection that causes AIDS, a far more serious disease. There are monthly tests required for this, from what I understand.

The RAME post is in a thread about companies not awarding contracts to many actresses, and for some reason Amee's name came up in this.

The last thread from her, she posted under her boyfriend's name. I think that there was some other threads from her earlier in the year, but I haven't read them.

In this last thread, she mentioned something about having to get a "loop procedure" which is the minor surgical treatment that someone gets to remove the tissue abnormalities in their cervix.
