So the ex says she's lying, she's now doing camshows, traveling for escorting, and has gotten lots of tattoos. Doesn't look good for her side of the story.
So on the Howard Stern show today, Raven's ex fiance said that they went to the hospital in December, and the doctor said there was no cancer in her liver or blood. The doctor apparently felt that Raven had some serious psychological problems since she believed she had cancer. When the Howard Stern show reporter asked if Raven would *privately* show some medical proof of her cancer, NOT for public disclosure, she immediately got defensive and said that no one could force her to disclose medical records. Hear for yourself: http://www.siriusxm.com/howardweb/mp3/02292.mp3
The doctor can be heard saying this? Or are you just going by what the Ex is saying he/she said? ContactPornStars.comStarFactoryPR.com EDIT TO ADD: Oh, ...and hello all the new posters! Edited by - Monstar on 2/29/2012 6:31:11 PM
Why does anyone really care? If she doesn't have cancer and is a crazy liar, well ... does that make her unusual for someone in porno? And if she did have cancer and is feeling well enough to have sex with lots of paying customers, get lots of tattoos and do cam-shows, then great! It's not like fans don't send money and buy things for porn stars for doing basically ... nothing. If this was fraudulent, at least she was making a really good effort. I see nothing to gain in second-guessing the nebulous.
I'll first say that I hope that she lied about the cancer or she's in remission because I wouldn't wish cancer on anyone. The only issue I'd have with her lying about the cancer is if she got a lot of money from well meaning people who had her well being in mind. I don't follow her on twitter but I don't think she asked for money to help with treatments but if she implied the cost and her lack of income and then got money then that is a big problem for me. That fans buy performers gifts is one thing but to use a fake illness is quite another.
I really don't understand this argument. Is the fact that she has cancer private? She has told the WORLD she has cancer! She doesn't have to provide any other sensitive material--just medical evidence showing what she has already made PUBLIC. The Howard Stern Show already knows her real name, her age--she had to sign release forms, provide ID, in order to appear naked on their show. They aren't going to publish anything--they just wanted to see some proof PRIVATELY. To put this all to rest. She refused. Hell, all she would have to do is give her diagnosing doctor permission to discuss the cancer on the air--the doctor could easily be verified. No private information would be leaked other than what she has already made public. Please--she is getting defensive and citing medical privacy laws because at this point, she is just trying to stay out of jail. Run a search on faking cancer--you'll find several stories of people being arrested for that kind of fraud.
^ I didn't think of these points. But as a porn actress, she routinely provides private medical information (in the form of tests for STD's) to media companies.

What's not to understand? Yes, she said she has cancer. That is completely her business, not yours, mine, or the Howard Stern's Show. Now if a governmental agency wants to investigate that have to get a search warrant. Why in the world would she show any type of records to someone else and breach confidentiality? If she is telling the truth, it is still absolutely no one's business but hers. If she isn't telling the truth, this opens a huge can of worms.
You know, I still don't get it. I mean, SHE is the one that told everyone all about her cancer. She tweeted it, went on radio to talk about it, asked for donations, and so forth. She told everyone all about the cancer in her liver that spread to other organs and finally her brain. SHE spoke and posted publicly all about her seizures, about her loss of motor skills, about her being too weak to walk or stand. SHE made her medical condition a most public thing. So obviously she has no problem discussing her cancer in public. Obviously she did NOT want it to be just "her business" that she had cancer--she wanted everyone to know. So what sort of privacy or confidentiality is she worried about? Please note: No one is saying she should publish personal private information, like her address or social security number. No one is saying she should publish her entire medical file. The only thing that was suggested--so that people would stop wondering if she committed truly HEINOUS fraud--is that she show evidence of her CANCER (to people, by the way, who already HAVE her personal information, who know her real name, who know her age, and have photocopies of her ID, etc.). All that was suggested is that she back up what SHE already made PUBLIC. For example--she could just give her diagnosing doctor permission to discuss the nature of her cancer (the type, the extent, etc.--all things she has already discussed publicly). The doctor could be verified. No respectable doctor would lie about something like this and risk his license. So you see? No one is asking her to divulge ANY information other than proof of what SHE has already willingly made public. The fact that she immediately refuses to do so, and defensively cites medical privacy laws, is VERY suspicious. Do you really not find that behavior odd for someone who really has cancer? Do you really not see the irony in someone eagerly telling as many people as possible that she has cancer, and then demanding medical privacy when they ask for proof? And you say it's nobody's business but hers? How about all the people she took money from? How about all the people who really DO have cancer? How about all of those who saw loved ones die from cancer? How about all the other people in the adult industry, who may suffer fallout from such twisted behavior (yet another porn star behaving horribly)? Furthermore, IF Raven is lying about having cancer, then she committed fraud that is punishable by the law and she may well be arrested. When someone violates criminal law, it is everyone's business. So yeah, I still don't understand your point.

I agree with Dayman. She chose to make her purported medical condition public knowledge. It's no longer confidential. She can't un-ring that bell. While she can't be compelled, absent a court order, to reveal more than she wants to, the Stern show news dept (which, for those who don't know, is an actual news department staffed by real reporters) were not at all out of line to ask her to produce some independent confirmation that she had ever actually been diagnosed as suffering from cancer. The fact that she went straight into deflection/double-talk mode when the reporter made that request is extremely telling, in my opinion.

I am not saying it isn't very suspicious. Not at all. I think it is very damning that she wouldn't. But if she is lying, like you say, why in the fuck would she give evidence of doing so to a reporter?
If we look from different perspective, she is still in adult industry, and out of DP.So she might be in any kind of blowbang/bukkake movie soon:)If Mason hear us she might take her to Massive Facials 5:)
Rolan Piche ask "Why do people look at car accidents?"Answer, Because it's there and it's human nature to do so.Having said that, those tattoos are unforunate!
