I want to get laser hair removal, but isn't it really expensive? I checked out a spa next to my work and it's $99 for one session. But doesn't it take several sessions to work?
But I'm content with shaving for now. Make sure that you're using a really good razor (I use the Schick Quatro). And there's this stuff called "Bikini Bare" that takes any irritation away.
As close as you can stand. It is uncomfortable, but not extremely painful. If you do not have ingrown hairs, it is much less painful.
Wow! $99!! It's $250 per session here in Cleveland (everything cosmetic is so much more expensive here). I found it to be worth every penny, but that's me. I have a horrible tendency towards ingrown hairs, even if I don't shave or do anything, they just grow that way. The relief from infected follicles was immediate. I have had two sessions on my bikini area, and one on my mid-thigh and I am very happy with the results.
I think everyone can figure out which if kimi's bits I was mentioning...:) Just thinking of saving my wife some razor time. You can shave and laser at the same time, unlike waxing or some of the other methods. Don't have to get your bits all stubbly.
i have very sensitive skin and i am always going to the dermatologist for break outs from shaving. to reduce irritation one must shave in the direction of the hair growing as opposed to the opposite direction of the hair. what happens when you shave against the grain is you get a better and smoother shave but you are changing the direction in which the hair grows causing it to grow into the skin instead of the follicle. this causes those bumps are breakouts. the difference is maybe 1 day of growth between shaving in the direction versus the opposite direction which isnt major but u will notice a huge difference in the less irritation.
