This is question for all but I would also appreciate any insight an actress in the industry could share. I have been seriously dating a wonderful lady who was a porn actress but got out of the business about 2-3 years ago. She was in it for about 4-5 years. I knew this when we started dating, but not the extent of her scenes. Only later did I find out that her performances involved nearly the entire gamut of types of sex listed below. As we have gotten closer what used to not really matter to me early in our relationship has begun to bother me at times. And not I am not exactly sure why. The knowledge of her past in the porn industry has led to various concerns and I am not sure whether they are valid or not. I want to be clear that I still care for her and think no less of her for working in the industry. My concerns are mainly centered around whether her extensive experience could negatively affect our sex life. She has experiences that the vast majority of women will never have, not just in quantity but in quality. E.g. sex with guys with big cocks, vaginal and anal, dp, and multiple guys at once. I will say that we have a good sex life and she tells me that I am a wonderful lover and giver, and I do enjoy all aspects of it. But sometimes I wonder if she is settling for a less thrilling sex life. I mean there is no way i can provide her with the kind of experiences that she was fairly accustomed to on camera. I realize that my concerns may sound like insecurity, and I am sure there is some of that, but maybe somebody could give me a little healthy perspective of all this. You assume that she got the same pleasure out of her scenes as you would get watching them. Porn is made for the viewers' benefit and not the performers. It is just like any other job; some days you have fun and on others it is a major chore. I would be more jealous that maybe she attended lots of wild parties and met some very wealthy guys or guys with access to various drugs that she may one day come to miss, rather than the sex.
Thanks for the replies so far. I do consider myself lucky, she is a great person, and sexy as hell. My main concern is whether she misses the extreme sex. Stupid thoughts like, "Yeah, she is enjoying this, but does she secretly wish she had a monster cock splitting her pussy open and another one up her ass right now?" I put this in the category of insane boyfriend jealousy/insecurity category. I know the thought is likely bullshit, and I do not doubt her when she tells me all is great in the sack, and I see her shuddering O's and all. But the thoughts come from time to time. I am just trying to figure out how to best deal with them. Actually, she was not into the party scene and did not hang out with other people in the industry. And she is probably one of the least materialistic persons I have ever met. She is great person - thoughtful, kind, and generous.
Two things: first, you cannot hold up your girlfriend's end of your relationship, you can only hold up your own. If your partner knows that you are open to what she wants in bed and that you need things to work for her, too, then you've done your bit on the communications front. Second, porn is not sex, porn is performance. If your lady is not a fool then worries about her confusing the two are groundless.
^ I agree. One more thought. I shot several scenes with a couple. The F had previously worked in the industry before she met and married the M. They decided to work with me to make several videos. It was her/their way of sort of leveling the playing field so they could both have the porn experience and have it together. Just a thought, it's not too late to share it together. I've actually done this with more than one couple. It would give you a better appreciation for what not to worry about.

Obviously this is bothering you more than it is her. If it is bothering her at all. Most men would think and feel what you are going through given the same set of circumstances. And if they say otherwise, I would say they are full of shit. She is looking at your relationship from an emotional point of view. Most women do that. You may ruin your relationship with her if you continue to keep these thoughts bottled up in your head. I don't know her personality, but if she is the type that is not easily offended, nor ashamed of her previous 'profession', you may want to speak to her about what's on your mind. Sexual insecurity is a natural thing. Its not an easy dynamic to solve. and getting advice/opinions from a porn forum isn't the best course of action. There are guys reading your post thinking you are an asshole and if they we you, they would "fuck the shit out of her" every night. Human nature runs deeper than that. You can feel when she's in your arms if she's connected to you, genuinely. And DON"T tell people on this board who this person is. That is your business. Good luck.
I whine about my guy's lack of interest in all sexual things non-vanilla. But that's all it is, whining. You couldn't get me out of his bed with a titanium crowbar. Yes, I miss the sexual variety my previous professional life allowed me to have. So what. He's so much more important to me than any of that ever was. Not just emotionally, either. I always want him - HIM. Not some random penis of whatever dimension. I want HIS cock. It's wonderful. Everything he does to me is great. Would I like it better if he'd roll me over and shove it up my ass or down my throat now and then. Well. Yes. Yes, I would. Oh well, it gives me fantasy material. And who knows, maybe someday he will. I did get the anal once... You are undoubtedly more hung up on this than she is.
Of course this matters more to me than her. She admitted if the roles were reversed it would bother her. Part of my problem is male jealousy and part ignorance. I have limited knowledge of the industry. That is why I am trying to get a bit of insight from this board. She and I have talked about it some. She says it was just a job, but at the same time she told me that part of the reason she was in porn was that she enjoys sex. I can understand that but how do these 2 things coexist? And no I will not divulge her name.
We are slowly exploring different areas in our sex life. I was a little apprehensive at first because I did not want her to think that I assumed that she was down for all kinds of crazy sex because of her profession. If she weren't a former porn actress I would have been more adventuresome sooner. Kind of a paradox.
I've never been in your situation but I've dated women with significantly more sexual experience than myself, and in general, it's never helped our relationship when I began thinking about her past or wondered how I would compare to her past lovers. Trust that she's with you because she wants to be with you. Porn sex is about the performance, the woman's enjoyment and stimulation are more incidental than anything else, and if it looks good that is what matters. Here she's chosen to be with you, and she's said she's happy sexually, and that means something. Go with that, and enjoy what you have together.
Think of most interests vs. careers. You may enjoy gardening, but pruning other people's trees and mowing their lawns may not be fulfilling. You may like it better than working in an office all day or waiting tables, but it's not the same as doing something you enjoy for your own benefit. It's like what Kimi said above. What was missing in the Work part was the love/relationship component. That's something only you bring to the table. It's easier said than done, but quit feeling inadequate. She chose you, so you're obviously giving her something important and rare. If anything, you should feel like a stud.
Thanks for all of the encouraging advice. Believe it or not I am not insecure in whether she cares for me or wants to be with me, that is pretty obvious and is mutual for us. The focus of this thread was to ask whether a past porn star misses the extreme sex and whether that need or desire can be fulfilled in a relationship with a civilian. It is interesting that when I first met her and things were more casual, she talked more freely about her time in the industry and what it was like, why and how she got into it. I have rarely brought it up and when I do now, she says it hurts to talk about and that she wishes she had not gotten into the industry. I'm not sure why the change in her feelings or whether before she was just not up front about the negative aspects of the porn biz. Mostly this refers to how some the guys treat the girls and the pressure to perform and not say no. I want to talk to her more about this but want to be sensitive about her not wanting to talk about it much. Thanks Kimi for your input and I would appreciate other comments from female performers.

^ Lol, porn chicks in their blogs and on Twitter always seem to hook-up with civilian guys that happen to have big cocks, can fuck them for hours (but not in a porn star way!) and give the girl 10 orgasms before spooning the rest of the night away. They lead very exciting lives ...
^^ Christian, you totally fu*ked up the fantasy! That story made me feel like a kid waiting to get a picture with Santa at the mall and you walked right up and yanked his beard off! lol
So you are saying those letters are not real either???

Common sense would dictate that if she missed all that wild, kinky sex she had during her time in the industry that much, she would still be in it. I assume you guys have regular sex so unless she's complaining about things, she's happy with what you give her. Maybe you should talk to a professional'cuz if you make her feel like her past is affecting you, it could seriously damage what you have together.

First: If you're not going to tell us who she is, why bother even bringing it up. Secondly: Why are you asking for relationship advice about dating a porn star on this site? There was a thread here recently and the majority of people responding said they wouldn't date or marry an actress.

^^^even if he said who it is, who do you its the truth...? this is the internet , after all...I'm dating Vanessa Del Rio right nows...^^^
That's a hard one, I don't know if I could do it. For me it would be hard to get past the jealousy side of it, also it'd suck if you knew what she was capable of but she wouldn't do it for you ;) As long as you can see it just as acting you should be sweet, its not liked she loved 100s of guys before you. Thank your lucky stars man Edited by - cross on 2/23/2012 9:15:59 PM

It could be worse. There are guys married to prostitutes who work the legal brothels in Nevada. The gals spend 3 weeks there, almost prisoners, they cannot leave. They get a week off, the one in which their girl thing occurs. Imagine for a moment you pick your wife up and she just starting to bloat and not feel good. You love her, she loves you but your physical intimacy is not going to be good. She might say her pussy is a little sore, let's cuddle, talk, we can make love but it will be during my period or when my pussy is recovering from 3 weeks of several men a day. I can't imagine that would be easy for any man. The best way I can put it is this. Porn gals fuck. Some guys they fuck, some they have sex with, but only their lovers do they make love to. It's the emotional/mental/spiritual intimacy they share with their lovers. On the porn set, it's sex. Pure, plain, simple. The gals more or less block out the emotional/mental/ and spiritual facet of the physical interaction. Some guys they might be paired with several times, it can go from fucking to having sex if they have at least some warm feeling for them. But it's not love. The important thing is does she love you and do you love her. If the porn past interferes with your ability to love her, you need to find a different flower. Linda Eastman, who married Paul McCartney, had been a groupie for rock musicians and Hollywood actors. Paul had boned his share of the finest females on the planet. When they married, they slept together every night for 30 years minus a couple of days Paul spent in jail for marijuana possession. They loved each other and they each put their pasts behind them. If you can't do that, it's hopeless. It isn't easy, insecurity could be an issue with you, she's had guys with larger boners, multiple men, things you can't duplicate. If you feel less than qualified to be her lover, end it, move on. If you do love her, realize she makes love with you, she doesn't fuck you, she doesn't have sex with you, she love makes with you. Hopefully, that's all you need.

In my younger days I was very active with escorts and such. I was well networked and did threesomes, Gang Bangs, anal, 18 year olds up to 60 year olds. Orgies, you name it, pretty much every fantasy a straight guy has, I've done it. Now, don't get me wrong, it was fun. Had a great time... But it does not compare to having great sex with a woman you are madly and crazy in love with. I would guess that this is even more so for females. You don't have to be the biggest, or even the best, just the one she loves. In all honesty, in my wild days it was like drugs. The more you do the more you want. Always more, bigger, better. Pretty soon you get bored and there's nothing new to look forward too. You become jaded. That all goes out the window when you truly fall in love. When you reach a certain level of intimacy and honesty. Don't worry, just make her feel more loved than she ever has been and you're golden.

is this really true? i've never been madly in love with a woman but i would think that the more hardcore-type kinky raw pornstar sex with someone that you don't really care about would be better/more enjoyable, maybe i'm wrong???
How does that not surprise me, I havent read anything mildly constructive or useful from you in any thread on here, its all bullshit/sarcasm and false bravado. Somehow, I'd very much doubt you are capable of any kind of intimacy with meaning with a woman anyway, although maybe that develops in later teens..........
That's good I'm glad you like it I don't have that false belief of being all in love and having "intimacy" like you do. It's ok you usually grow out of that after your teens....
^ Self-fulfilling prophecy comes to mind. Sure, you can boast that you never get burned, and you don't have to develop any insight into the feelings and needs of another human being, but I'm not convinced that you are better off for that.
