I was wondering if anyone has heard if some of the older classics (Deep Throat, Behind the Green Door, Taboo, others) were going to be getting the remastering treatment? I think acquiring rights as well as source material might be tricky. I'd love to produce a box set of classic 70s fare, but I think there's a lot of stuff people can't even remember that was probably a lot better than "Deep Throat." [Link]

Click to expand A box set would be completely choice!!!!! I would so love that! A complete digital rescan, clean up, and full restore with tons of extras! For me, that's some of the best parts to a disk (the extras). [Link]

They have released Babylon Pink and Neon Nights with The Devil in Miss Jones and Debbie Does Dallas coming up. Standard Digital has done a nice job with the Taboo series and Playing with Fire but there isn't much for extras. The Mitchell Bros releases of all their titles except for Behind the Green Door: The Sequel look great but again are missing extras. I-Candy/MG Media also does a nice job, but is missing extras. Finding the original elements is even trickier than acquiring rights. When these Golden Age beauties were being filmed in the 70s, they were made for an immediate theatrical experience, and virtually know one would have dreamed that 30 years after the fact, there would be audiences clamoring for "definitive" versions of these movies for their home collections. As disatisfied as we get from time to time with the quality of what companies like Alpha Blue and Media Blasters put out, they deserve some serious kudos to putting some of these shows out at all.
