All this contract bullshit makes no sense to me. If you put a girl under contract then you have to make sure to release every month a new movie with her. In case of Remy I would love to see gangbangs or blowbangs all the time.
As much as I would love to take the side of Remy here. It`s really hard to do so when you consider that she isn`t an innocent 18 year old just starting in the biz but a mid 20 year old woman with at least two plus years experience in the industry. I don`t think anyone coerced her into signing with the studio so why complain that her movies aren`t getting released. I assume she was paid for those movies so the only people who should care when those movies get released should be her fans. The nature of most contract is that fans usually don`t like them because it limits the amount of porn you will see from that performer, it often limits the kind of thing she will do and the studio has a tendency to withhold the release of movies for longer than most people would like. Now if she wants to complain that she made a mistake because she didn`t read all the fine print than fine but it should be entirely directed at herself and not at the studio who offered her the contract.
There are lots of girls who like to fuck who won't take a shit in their employer's cereal too. Anyway, I've said my piece. Like I said, I am looking forward to new Remy content from other studios once July comes. HardX should book her the very day after her contract expires.
That can look totally different from the studio's point of view. Digital Playground had scenes of their contract girls left for months, maybe years, after the contracts had ended. So they still made money with them long after the contracts. They couldn't have done that if they had released all scenes as soon as possible. I'm not saying this is wrong or right in whatever sense, just that the interests of studios and performers don't necessary conincide. But both sides need to keep that in mind before they sign their agreement, so I don't see that this is more "fair" for one side or the other.
^ For their bottom line. Sometimes a company will shoot a scene and then sit on it a long time before they release it. Sometimes they'll even wait until after a performer has retired to capitalize on the fact that it is a rare "new" scene. Fans of the retired performer will then flock to their title because they're desperate for new material they haven't seen before. It's a pretty smart business move actually.
I can't say I'm surprised. I haven't been impressed with any of Arch Angels work and now this. If you're going to throw around contracts like they're man-hole covers they better at least be profitable AND keep you in the know. I think we're all waiting for Remy to be able to do more than shoot scenes some company is going to hold on to until they're floundering and ready to go out of business.
Wait a second. If this part's true, why wouldn't she make this dispute public? Telling her to fuck off would absolve her of any obligation to be discreet.
^^Good question. I think the key thing that's missing (and which can be difficult to describe on twitter is context). If what she said is true, it could be that director was just being a complete jerk to remy for no reason. It could also be (at least from what's publicly available) that said director may have told her to "fuck off" , in response to remy telling him/her to "fuck off"(or saying something else that might get the ire of the majority of people). Or it could be for a myriad of other reasons. I don't know for certain& I don't feel a compelling need to make an assumption either way. So I'm not really sure why she deleted that tweet, perhaps she feels that twitter is not the best medium to make this public. Or she feels it's not the right time to do so. Either way, what I can say is that, I'm a fan of remy's movies, I want to see more of her & I am also a fan of Arch Angel's movies & wish them success. Edited by - 4theheart on 4/19/2015 6:09:41 AM
Without taking sides, I'll just state the tendency to post things within Social Media that are later regretted by the poster seems to be a rather common occurrence. I hope everything gets sorted out between Remy and Arch Angel!
It all depends on the kind of contract she signed and was paid for. Clearly the ones DP offered their contract players was that the performer would be exclusive to them so that meant not doing any other porn than the one with DP.
You know I was all for arch angel, theyve put out a string of movies I like a lot, and I thought like Jada getting the Booty queen movie, we would see Remy. Im wrong and tis kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Hell the archangel twitter only lists Jada as a contract star as well. I mean goddamn if youre jot gonna promote AND USE a contract star why sign in the first place. At least HardX got Remy showcase. Im pretty sure were not seeing any other new Remy scenes till July which is annoying and fucking lame. ----Dread's Twitter---- Edited by - dread on 4/19/2015 2:38:10 PM

I wonder if that showcase movie for HardX, Remy, complicated matters for ArchAngel and Remy. I, for one, was both surprised and confused that within weeks of her exclusive contract kicking in for ArchAngel, she had a showcase released...for another studio. I don't know whether the folks at ArchAngel knew about that showcase before signing her to that deal. However, I do know that MimeFreak, ArchAngel director (formerly a director for Elegant Angel), admitted that releasing Maddy O'Reilly Is Slutwoman shortly after HardX's Maddy (another Maddy O'Reilly showcase) in early 2014 was a big mistake, and he vowed that he would not make that same mistake again-releasing a showcase movie right after another studio has released one featuring the same girl.
^ Yeah, I also thought the timing on that whole thing was weird. But I don't think Remy pulled a fast one or anything like that. The HardX showcase was announced on Nov. 21st, 2014. Her contract with ArchAngel was announced on Dec. 15th, 2014. So ArchAngel knew what they were getting when they signed Remy. Like you said though, it's Kind of a puzzling move considering what Mime said about the dueling Maddy showcases. Edited by - Mister Fahrenheit on 4/20/2015 4:32:40 AM
Fuck, This all makes my head hurt. I just wanna watch Remy fuck and hula hoop and smoke and dance and fuck. ----Dread's Twitter---- Edited by - dread on 4/21/2015 11:30:56 AM Edited by - dread on 4/22/2015 12:21:34 PM
^ So yeah, from the look of her latest tweets it looks like Remy is no longer an ArchAngel contract girl and that she's pursuing legal action against them for breach of contract: Unfortunate this all happened, but I am happy we'll see some new Remy scenes for other companies. HardX should book her for something ASAP. EDIT: Forgot to mention that I'm bummed the Jada vs. Remy showcase won't happen now. Would have been epic. It appears that Arch Angel screwed themselves out of ever getting any great scenes with an extraordinary talent! Not a good way to do business! I say, good for Remy!!
This isn't the days of the studio contract from Hollywood or the adult industry. These women aren't half as stupid as you think. Legal action isn't outside the realm of possibility and a work contract is the easiest thing in the world to sue over.
I saw Remy on Friday. I seem happy I was there. But her attitude was kind of down. IDK what going on. She tweet she dislike New York the people and just in general. Anal Sex Is My Thing :)
Hmm, so it seems Remy LaCroix vs Tori Black (Archangel). Remy accuses them of unprofessionalism. Serious. This could become some lawsuit! Damn, those girls are 2 of my favorite porn stars. Don't wanna choose 😉 Edited by - makker on 4/21/2015 6:34:52 PM
It's official. It's war now between Tori Black and Remy LaCroix! Tori just tweeted she won't take part in The Sex Factor when Remy is still involved. That means the whole show is in trouble now. There is a Twitter war now including Mimefreak and the law suit. Damn.
I'm getting in here to say something before any members feel the need to take sides or pass judgement on any of the involved parties. My position is: who cares? Unless you're professionally involved in the industry and actually have to work with these people on a regular basis none of it should matter to you. I'm not a porn fan because I'm interested in behind the scenes drama. I'm a porn fan because I like to jerk off to movies of hot women having sex. The only thing that concerns me is that those movie be of the highest quality. Good film-making and solid performances are the be-all and end-all of my interest in porn. Tori made some amazing scenes back in the day. If she ever comes out of retirement I'll be chomping at the bit to watch her again. Remy is still making great stuff. I'll continue to watch her stuff so long as that's the case. A twitter feud between the two is totally immaterial to my interest in them. Again, who cares?
I read the press release. It doesn't do much to make the studio sound professional - more like a jilted teenager. But I expect this to calm down quickly as each side moves on.
^^^ I wouldn't jump to conclusions regarding the future of the as yet unaired/unstreamed "The Sex Factor," since adjustments could presumably be made, if necessary. Hopefully, things can eventually get sorted out between Remy and Tori, but that is up to them. Meanwhile, being that this IS Remy's Topic, Back to Ms. LaCroix! Beautiful!

I think mimefreak might be the reason behind all of this, meaning Remy and Mime might've not got along and he's who told her to fuck off after she proabbly made some demands/explanations and it escalated from there. Tori will always have my love and support, but at the sametime....I did not like the idea of Remy being contracted and being under sold/marketed. Anyone could see that. It almost seems like Tori is fighting Mimefreak's battle on twitter/sticking up for her man. I might be wrong though, who knows really. I just hope they sort it out.

Reading Remy's tweets today has reminded me why I'm always so hesitant to follow pornstars on twitter. Her implied criticism of Tori for posting nudes is one hell of a turn off for me. I don't understand how a working pornstar who's shot the kinds of scenes she has can still be so backwards in her thinking about sex and sexuality. What does she think of the mothers in the industry? Does she look down on them because they aren't "classy"? Ugh. So disappointing.
^ No doubt in the Adult Industry, as in all other walks of life, the people within each will have differing opinions and viewpoints. It's as simple, and as complicated as that!

Of course, but it's not unreasonable to expect that a pornstar of her stature would be more progressive and enlightened when it comes to issues of sexuality. She wouldn't pose nude if she had kids? Great, but the implication that to do otherwise lacks class is pseudo-puritan thinking. It surprises me.
^ It's certainly a nice bonus when a performers is as progressive and forward thinking as, say Casey Calvert for example, but it's not a prerequisite for me. I'm into Remy because she fucks well, not because of her views on sex work and motherhood.

^The first time I saw Remy was back when Kink released her very first scene. While I loved the gangbang itself, what struck me the most were the before and after interviews. I remember admiring the fact that a woman of her age was so ahead of the curve on sexuality. And so I've followed her career ever since. I'm sure if I had first seen her on BangBros or some other site, I still would have paid attention to her work but I'd be coming at it from a different place. Oh well.
Ahh, I get ya then. I just came to her with different expectations so it doesn't really bother me too much. Plus, when people get angry they often say things they don't really think about or believe. So take it all with a a grain of salt.
I haven't seen Kink's scene with her, but seeing her first feature wth Mason made me a believer. Her interviews were outstanding and it seems like she was well beyond anything for the industry. There are a lot of smart women in the industry, but this totally came off in her interview. Like I said before this isn't the age of bullying these women and having them except it. She signed a contract. It stated very specific things in that contract. If they're not living up to their end she has every right to sue.

^I also liked her interviews with Mason. I'm not nearly informed enough to take sides on Remy's dispute with ArchAngel, or even on her personal dispute with Tori Black. I only take exception to the bizarre tweet of her's that I mentioned. Edited by - misspornUSA on 4/22/2015 1:25:07 AM
