The one element that I feel is missing is a good director / camera operator. Gabriel Zero really was the unsung hero of Rocco's production, and without him, the newer films do feel a bit too sterile. It has to do with lighting and spontaneity of camera work, but the newer films feel very polished and (dare I say it) rehearsed, yet Rocco is anything but that and it doesn't fit his style. Rocco is a raw nerve set loose upon the world of porn, spontaneous and effortless, and the direction should reflect that.

His "casting" series is still among the greatest porn currently in production, IMHO, as far as performance and intensity is concerned, but the lack of any sort of camera work does bring it down from the heights it could reach.

As far as choosing a favorite Rocco movie, though, I'd have to go with either Bodyguard or Rocco Never Dies. His feature movies from the mid '90s had a lot more heart and production value.
