Cool. Looks like I was the third guy to vote. I hope the balloting works a little better this year.
There are some brutal brackets though. I hated having to choose between Amee Donavan and Brianna Blaze in the first round for newbies, and the director's bracket that has Mike John and Buttman (as well as Passolini and Jonathan Morgan, each of whom could have gotten my vote in other brackets) is pretty stacked.
Yeah, I had trouble getting through too. I found that when I cut and pasted the address into my browser that I made it in, though. And give it a minute to connect.
This is probably why the vote totals haven't started taking off.
There are some really brutal brackets. It's always a big event at the house when we do the brackets. The top 8 finishers or seeds are always separated, but after that it is random. Mrs. Rog points to empty slots on the board and I pull names out of a hat to make it a double-random selection process.
I'm glad you were able to vote, we're still working the bugs out.
If you have cleared your cookies since you first registered then the voting links may not work for you. I'll create a page where you can reset the cookie to enable you to vote.
Give it a shot now. Just click through one of the links in the email you received. You'll get an error but also will be provided the option to re-register.
Good point....Of course I don't see WCP stuff any more so he slipped through. I put a call out on my site for suggestions and he must have slipped through everyone's crack so to speak.
Please keep in mind that in order to participate in Rog's polls this year you would have needed to register and confirm prior to roughly November 1st (or whenever we closed the registration period.) The only way to vote this year is by clicking the links in a weekly ballot reminder email sent to the email address you registered.
Which Brooke? The second guessing is my favorite part. I added probably 20 names in the last two days before I finished the brackets based just on fan input. (This is the fan poll after all. I get to pick my choices next month with the critic's choice awards.)
I'll add my 2 cents then. I would have liked to see Paulina from Young Ripe Mellons 3 and Dominique Dane from Inch Freak in the New starlet category. The fact that they only did 1 movie in 2003 might be the reason they were left out of the nominations. hehe
Hopefully, we will see them in many many movies in 2004.
The voting hasn't been heavy so far, possibly because of these connection problems. But the results are starting to take shape.
One thing that surprises me is that Jenna Haze seems to have held a pretty substantial fan base despite the changes in her career. And my two favorite newbies, Brianna Blaze and Katsumi, could be eliminated in the first round.
I can never stop following this stuff. A while back, a site called roadtospringfield.com transfixed me for weeks.

Asking people to register ahead of time means there will be less voters. But I think it will be a truer representation of Rog's readership - instead of one's ability to drum up votes on the internet.
The new voting came out today. Some of the brackets are getting hard to choose from. I found myself staring at the screen a few times trying really hard to choose between two people. Having fun. Thanks Rog and Drew. Does only one person/company make it out of each bracket this time? It doesn't say as it did in the past, just curious.
Well, at least I got her in the Top 64 even though she got stuck in the toughest bracket (tougher than # 8, IMO). I'll have to let her know and arrange a time for an interview for your website.
