Personally, I don't find super close-ups of a penis pounding a vagina, gaping anuses, facials, etc. erotic, there is soooooo much more you guys are missing! And I'm not talking about a sappy hearts & flowers romantic script, either. Because the thrill of anticipation would be an important part of My Perfect Porno, there would have to be some kind of plot, but in order for this to succeed, only top-notch actors will do. While it's doubtful that most actors are as well-endowed as our porn studs (although I have heard rumors about Nicholas Cage's schlong), that's not really important, as we can always hire a stunt dick, if need be. i think the main reason that more women don't watch porn is simply because it is not marketed to women. most women would have no idea what to buy or where to buy it.
other reasons:
- there are only a small handful of goodlooking guys in porn.
- i would guess that most women who don't have fake breasts are turned off by fake breasts (i am.)
- the woman's pleasure is rarely a focus of porn (much to the dismay of men and women.) i really don't want to watch blowjob after blowjob after blowjob. how many movies focus on the female orgasm that are not squirting movies? yet there are 10 billion cum shot comps.
- and i agree with dumblonde, porn doesn't even try to show the thrill of anticipation. i don't think this necessarily requires great acting. it could also be accomplished by putting two or more people together who really want to have sex with each other - and having them tease each other on camera.
I could go on for hours on this topic, but the overwhelming reason why I think women don't like porn is that it's tailored to male tastes, marketed to guys, produced by men, and most importantly, is overwhelmingly purchased by them. In short, it's a vicious circle--there's no effort or financial reason to show romance or tenderness (or not to show girl-girl, gangbangs, blowjobs, facials, anal, you name it) when that stuff sells like hotcakes. Sure, companies like Femme Productions fits a niche that is different from 99.9999% of porn, but to quote Tina:
"I think porn is targeted toward male viewers for obvious reasons. They are the ones who purchase the most... it's the guys out there by themselves that really keep us going. I don't think the female market is lucrative enough to say, "I'll make porn for women" and still make a living."

But overall, it all seems to be about the man getting his rocks off. Everything is build up to his orgasm.
