Looks like I've already been neeched by Drew.

Should there be an option to disable?

I thought about providing that option but I don't think it's all that helpful. If someone posts it's public and a stalker could just bookmark the search results for posts by a particular user to do essentially the same thing. RSS just makes it more efficient.

this may have been asked before, but how come you can't get RSS feeds on deactivated members? is it just my browser? i think the only reason i would want to use it--what i tried to use it for--would be to locate the precise post that got them booted. isn't that what makes the forum exciting?

I have it disabled for deactivated users. Seemed reasonable to me when I was coding it.

But there's not going to be any *new* posts by the deactivated member; so why bother with an RSS feed, then? RSS, by definition, seems to want to help you deal with recently added things.

If you're subscribed to a member's feed then you'll get the posts. You just won't get them after the fact if they are subsequently deactivated.

I must admit that I find your interest in explosive posts disturbing.

Actually most of the real explosions are via email. I will give all the assholes your address for future correspondence.

I feel so exposed. And scared, and alone. Hold me.
