Although I respect them, I'll have to disagree with you on a couple of your points Buckaroo:
Yes, porn will never be erased from the memory banks, but that is a positive, IMHO. You say she will be looked at as "nothing but a pornstar". Um, no, if she continues successfully into mainstream, she'll be looked at as "that actress who also did porn". The American mindset is clearly/has clearly changed somewhat. Maybe not 100% but it's moving along. Just look at ideals on porn and the sexualization of women, in the 50's, 60' 70's, 80's, 90's to now. It's hard to imagine but back in those early days, just think about the ruckus porn and pin-up imagery caused. Now, a lot of people just say "yeah, whatever".
You are correct on the religious right's viewpoints, but how powerful do you think they really are? As each generation passes, they are losing their grip bit by bit, (and I think most posters here are loving every minute of that, lol). The old school is disappearing and the new school is here and growing. Yes Bush won the office, yes Janet Jackson caused hysteria. But don't confuse the religious right's conservative ideals with ONLY being anti-pornography. They stand for much more deeper and harmful beliefs, imo. Bush's anti-pornography stance isn't what got him elected. There were far worse things that the republican voters thought were important which made them elect him. And don't forget the independent voters, which the religious right are losing their grasp on. And the Janet Jackson fiasco, I think, was more like a blip in American society. Kind of like part of society was having a nightmare, then woke up, and then realized what the fuck were they so upset about, because it wasn't that scary of a nightmare to begin with, lol. Nothing consequential "long-term" came from that, IMO, as I've read that most of the court cases regarding that, are being lost or dismissed.
Anyway, let me stop from derailing my own thread as the above is for other topics, lol, and we need to keep this on the lovely Sasha Grey. I think you get my general point. Yes, you're right, no one is going to forget Sasha did hardcore pornography. But I don't think it'll be held in nearly the negative light that you do. I think as society gets more open regarding sexuality, they'll either not care she did it (likely now), or applaud her for it (likely many years from now...or sooner, hopefully).

That's interesting, considering I look at the general public as nothing but a colony of intestinal bacteria with the collective IQ of a really smart golden retriever.

I agree that Ron has gotten a certain recognition for stuff that he does outside of porn. Unless I'm mistaken most of that involves debates and not really participating in mainstream projects like Tv and movies.
You can add Game character to Ginger's resumé. She played alongside Mark Hamill in one of the Wing Commander games.

Isn't the teen and preteen market the biggest source of revenue for mainstream film in the USA? If that is the case then where is the incentive to bring in somebody who will have parents freaking out over letting little Johnny go see the latest blockbuster?

Of course this is all a matter of opinion, and I should have clearly labeled my observations of Arrrrnold's long ago body building career, clearly as my opinion. But I would suspect, that for most people, his later Hollywood and political career by far outshines anything he did before. And his bodybuilding career is not the first thing that comes to most peoples' mind, when his name comes up, accept for those who are fans of that sport.
If Sasha goes on to equal or surpass his most notable accomplishments, I would think that in about 20-years or so her career in porn will be a distant memory, for both her and her future fans. I believe that that will largely be be because, most probably, graphic sex will be more fully integrated into "main stream" entertainment

I have no stats on where Hollywood derives most of it's revenue, but if I had to guess, it's narrowly a couple of fields bringing in "most" of the revenue, much to the chagrin of movie lovers as often the films suck, lol:
1) Family oriented films for children-think Toy Story, etc.
2) Blockbuster type films which cater to the younger crowd, but I think skew towards the target male demographic of 18-45, or whatever is that prime market that's often mentioned.
Using your logic, I'd say yes, lol, Sasha won't be in films in category 1. But category 2 is prime-time material for her, or any pornstar. Now there are the other categories 3 through... which I believe don't make up most of Hollywood's revenue, and those fields are diverse. But I think many of them could use the talents of a Sasha Grey quite handily. So to address your point, no, I don't think Hollywood's main source of revenue is the teen market, but they are included in the prime demographic.

And it will live on forever. The minute Sasha appears anywhere on some mainstream production that has a wide audience, someone will recognize her a porn star and immediately will bring it to everyone else's attention. Kind of like whenever someone finds a real disgusting clip. They immediately come on this site, and say, "Warning, warning, this has got to be the most disgusting thing ever and noone should ever look at it, But here's the link!"

Sasha has kept her figure natural. So that will always give her a loyal fan base as well as mainstream appeal.
Sasha's natural breasts allow her to be cast in a greater variety of roles.
Big fake breasts equals porn star or sexpot.
Natural breasts are better for a porn star trying to move into the mainstream.

At the risk of sounding like a jerk here....I really don't see what Sasha brings to the mainstream table. I'm a fan of her porn and I hope her well if she wants to break into mainstream but I don't think any pornstar will ever make a total break into mainstream. The reason Sasha got THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE was because she was a pornstar. The reason she's on ENTOURAGE is because she's a pornstar. Once you get past that Sasha really doesn't offer anything thousands of other girls offer in Hollywood without the baggage. In the small pond of porn she's a sensation. In the big world of Hollywood there are better looking girls and better actresses to be honest. I don't know if her porn followers are big enough in numbers to make her a real asset in attracting an audience for a mainstream project.
It seems to me the biggest asset pornstars bring to mainstream is their over the top sexy looks and the willingness to get naked and perhaps push a simulated sex scene a bit further. But there's pleny of "B" actresses and "Scream Queens" who kinda fill the same void.
I'm sure Sasha or any pornstar can get bit parts in low budget stuff or non-speaking roles in bigger productions but is that really a better gig than doing the porn thing financially? I understand the reason for wanting to get out of having sex on camera but other than maybe Tracy Lords no pornstar has figured out how to really make the mainstream thing work for them in a major way that lasts.
Perhaps Sasha will be the one who does it but I just don't see it happening even though I wish her luck trying.

^ Yeah, but the work isn't nearly as steady. If a girl dabbles in both porn and mainstream stuff I can see it. But some of the mainstream projects are far and few between. In Sasha's case it might be worth it if she's in every episode of ENTOURAGE (No idea because I don't watch it) but in general for many pornstars who try to go mainstream there probably isn't a steady stream of work coming their way.

Definitely some great points Draxxx. Hollywood is undoubtedly filled with lots of actresses so what would make Sasha (or any pornstar) stand out, other than the xxx tagline that their involvement in a project would bring? I'm not sure there is anything, really. But I'm a firm believer in talent coming from anywhere; sometimes even Hollywood finds talent through untraditional means, and not all actors/actresses get pulled from the Hollywood machinery (maybe most, but not all). So I agree with you, that it'd be hard for a producer, etc. to cast a pornstar for any other reason besides them being a pornstar.
However, if a pornstar goes that route, and CAN actually act, sing, whatever, then that door could be opened. One never knows til one tries, and apparently this time is Sasha's to showcase her acting. We'll see where it leads.

I bet you are on to something here. Acting accumen will always be the trump card, but an actress who'se looks just scream "porn star" (ie. very large fake boobs) will most likely never be cast by a mainstream production for anything other than "girl in hot tub #2", "Sexy waitress", or "stripper in club". Sasha could realistically be cast for a myriad of roles, her looks make her more of a chameleon. Granted, as other members have stated, her former porn affiliation would still provide her with name recognition, a necessary thing because girls who look similar to her and are going on auditions are a dime a dozen in Hollywood.

I don't wish to poke anyone's bubble, but "mainstream" Hollywood is full woman with breast "augmentations", botox injections, tummy tucks etc. These things are not exclusive to porn.

An interview with Aurora Snow: Confessions of a Porn MILF
I guess that's what happens when you turn 24. I thought 24-year-olds were supposed to play college girls. I knew that I hadn't aged in dog years, but that's how it felt when producers would read my age on paper and pigeon-hole me without even bothering to see what I looked like. Because I was 24, I was immediately slotted into the "older woman" category. My days as a barely-legal actress were forever over.
I soon learned that it's unwise to state your age on set unless you can say you're somewhere between 18 and 21. Never mind that I look young—in porn, they care more about your birth date than how you actually look. A director who'd once wanted to hire me on the spot after meeting me later refused after learning my real age. He was dead-set against hiring any girl over 21 years old. A photographer on set managed to convince the director to hire me anyway by showing him some provocative photos we'd recently shot. But by porn standards, once you hit 25 you're pretty much out. I can only be thankful that I understand the rules of the game. I don't take it home with me, and I can look back at my career, and even the industry's slights, with a sense of mirth.
Today I'm 28—still relatively young, as far as I'm concerned. But once my career took a turn for the older, I decided to look on the bright side. I would be able to produce new videos in a niche market previously unavailable to me. What better way to broaden the fan base? There is something for everyone in porn, a niche that appeals to each fantasy and taste. I had obviously hit the teen market hard, but those who watch the young-girl lines are unlikely to also watch the MILF-series lines. I began to see it as an opportunity to create new fans.
As such, my career has changed in the last few years. In addition to the MILF market and the porn parodies, which also hit the mainstream media with Not The Bradys XXX (I played Jan), I've expanded into fetish work. Despite spending a decade in this business, it is exciting to discover there's still so much I still haven't done. There are still new genres to explore—the world of bondage, submission, and domination, for starters—all branches of the same tree. I have only just begun to sample its fruit.
Oddly, my changing role in porn doesn't seem to register with the mainstream world. If anything, I have been pleased to discover that thanks to the Internet, what might be bad for the industry is good for me. My name gets out there and more people, people who don't even watch porn, discover me. I have been approached more often for mainstream projects, like my cameo in Judd Apatow's Superbad. I have also begun doing nonpornographic independent films like the not-yet-released film A Place to Die, directed by Sage Stallone, Sylvester Stallone's son. And I'm set to do a similar indie film at the end of August.
But I'm still at my core the girl who changed her major in college to business, and now I have a new goal, too: One day, I'm going to law school. I think my years in the industry will make me a great lawyer. Porn has helped me there. I may be still be shy, but being "Aurora Snow" has taught me that my ambition can take me to the unlikeliest of places."

And there's another parallel there. Most of them started out completely natural, got famous for their natural beauty and then started with the plastic surgery. And now they're not famous for anything other than having plastic surgery for no reason.

Perhaps. But realistically for any pornstar to be able to crossover using any talent they might have they'll have to be waaaaaay above average with that talent. If they try their hand at singing their singing will have to be so extraordinary it makes everyone forget they are or ever been a pornstar. Their singing, acting or whatever would have to be so good they're chosen over other talented people, worth the risk of potentially turning off a large segment of the audience, and then being so good the talent overshadows their past.
Sasha or any pornstar simply being a "decent" or even "good" actress isn't enough to get steady mainstream work over time or make Hollywood and a mainstream audience be willing to take pornstars serious as equal players on the playing field.

I'll have to disagree with you on some fronts. Yes, a porn actress would have to be really, really good to kick a mainstream career into orbit with signicant roles. Hell, even A list actresses have to fight with each other for the meaty roles.
However, if Paris Hilton or someone similiar can get acting gigs, then certainly a pornstar could. It's sometimes all about being a media darling, and a pornstar could easily turn into that. But, and this is a big qualifyer, the material needs to be good, so as to make that actress shine. Yes, you could turn my argument around and say, well, the Paris Hilton types are never in good movies, and you'd be correct. But that doesn't mean it'll always be that way. In the end, I think it'll come down to, like other posters have said, roles that blend porn and mainstream together. That is to say, more roles/movies in which hardcore sexuality is blended in with top-notch storytelling/moviemaking. When that happens, I think more roles for porn actresses will bleed over.

That never stopped 80% of the actors in Hollywood from doing it anyway. Most of them aren't even good actors. They're just talking props.

I have to say that Sasha has made a bigger crossover to mainstream than any other pornstar I can think of. All in a very short period of time. Without the help of a contract, etc, etc. She has definitely broken some barriers and will hopefully continue to do so in the future if she stays on the right track. That says a lot about her. She has done what so many other porn girls could not.

Paris gets record deals and movie parts because it's believed by some Paris can attract an audience that'll buy tickets or buy CDs. A movie company or producer/director sees all the press Paris gets (or was) and figures that people have enough interest in Paris to go see her in a movie. It's the same thing with her music. But the movies and music usally don't do well because even though Paris does well in the tabloids and gossip circles no one really cares about seeing her act or sing. They just want to know what she's up to or who she's sleeping with.
Sasha doesn't have that type of pubic interest working for her. She had her shot with THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE and it really didn't turn into the public wanting to see more of her. Sasha was the only reason anyone paid any attention of that film. And the attention wasn't about Sasha per se, it was about the fact that a pornstar was in a mainstream movie by a well known director. It would've had the exact same effect if it were Stormy Daniels or a half dozen other pornstars.
I just don't see that happening. Look at the type of movies Hollywood is making right now. It's mostly action movies, movies aimed at teens/kids and very few movies that are sexy or have much sex in them. In the 80s they were making sexy and movies with nudity/sex but not so much theses days. Notice how few "R" rated movies are made theses days aimed at the masses.
Small indepedent films like THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE or low budget straight to DVD movies or movies of the SKINEMAX type are mostly the only movies that feature any type of heavy nudity or sexuality. Pornstars get parts in those but those movies they fly under the 'mainstream' radar.
So if a pornstar can't exploit their willingness to play sexy or push it past the point a "legit" actress would there isn't a lot to offer that "legit" actress can't offer. Some pornstars do have that va-va-voom over the top curvy look that not many "legit" actress can come close to that may be needed for a role but Sasha doesn't fall into that catagory.

That's exactly my point on Paris. She got gigs just because of being a media darling, and then once the movies weren't good or she wasn't good, that old Hollywood "take a chance and see if it makes money" idea fizzled out. BUT, if that media darling turns out to have talent, then the door could be opened. It's all about getting that shot. And I'll argue, that as society gets more open with porn, more gigs will open for pornstars to have that "discovery" moment. I think it's headed there, but I think it's way off time-wise.
Sasha wasn't the reason people paid attention to the GFE. Let's be honest here, it was Soderbergh first, and then the Sasha curiosity factor 2nd (and yes, it could've been most any other pornstar to be given the chance). And that's what it's always going to take-a big time talent in Hollywood branching out. Which is why I think it'll head that way. Yes, you are right, that now Hollywood targets the PG-13 and young kid crowd with much of their fare. But if something makes money, they will produce it. And I think there is a large adult population of movie lovers who are sick of Hollywood playing safe with PG-13 rated softballs and are ready for more adult entertainment in mainstream. It'll never get to resemble porn (of course, as that's why porn, is porn, lol) but I think it'll creep closer.
But your points are valid for sure. Just different ways to look at where Hollywood will go, from both of us. Regardless, I think any change will happen over long periods of time.

Sasha's a cool babe - she's not having to stretch far in terms of acting chops in Entourage, and that serves her well at this point. But, as others have said, she fits in quite comfortably in every scene and the camera just eats her up.
Where will she get to go in the mainstream? Who knows. I give her kudos for going where she wants to go.
A lot of the worry in this thread reminds me of pro wrestling fans that freak out whenever a wrestler moves on to other endeavors - like with the Rock.
Let the woman live her life. If she turns into some anti-porn dishonest shrew, then people here will have reasons to go after her. Until then, let her take her ride and see where it goes. If she can develop acting chops and do meatier stuff than just being a hot, sexually active babe, more power to her - I for one would like to see her go far.

spot on with the rock comparison
sasha's mainstream crossover is fully legit and looking on imdb she has more movie roles in pre-production like that one with thomas jane and jeremy piven.
of course shes not being cast in huge blockbuster films like avatar/inception but limited movies with some decent actors that would see a small cinema release.
even with just entourage and gfe, she easily surpasses anything the older porn stars have gone on to do jenna jameson etc.

Please watch some new US indie cinema, or some new Euro stuff, it's got tons of actual fucking in it ... and not featuring porn stars. That's why this debate is meaningless .... And the movies are pretty fucking good.

No worry from me. Just some discussion I found interesting enough to comment on. I wish Sasha or any pornstar well if they decide to go the mainstream route. If never does porn again it's fine with me, if she doubles her porn output it's fine with me. It's her life and she should do what makes her happiest...But that doesn't and shouldn't stop us from having a civil discussion about her or her career.

I agree, there have already been a number of 'legit' directors who have shot hardcore scenes, particularly in Europe (Dumont, Breillat, Carax, Winterbottom) but also in the US with John Cameron Mitchell being the most notable. They may not be Spielberg, but that's because they still make good movies.

Exactly! Just because a pornstar goes on to do other things and branches out, doesn't mean her fans don't want to continue following her and talking about her career. It's no different than fans of music and/or sports continuing to talk about their favorite stars, retired or not. It's a different topic for sure, as Monica Seles isn't about to do a double anal, but you get my point, lol.

Personally, I like things the way they are now. I have no desire to see porn become anymore mainstream. as we've seen with music, tv and movies and so many other things, when they become "mainstream" they become watered down to appeal to the masses. If porn became "mainstream" we'd end up with watred down versions of VIVID type movies with no edge. Some people will complain that anal sex (or whatever) is "wrong" and it'll go away from those type of movies to applease that audience. If the watered down movies become the big sellers most of the other directors will follow suit in an effort to cash in. Whatever type of girl is becomes popular will be the type of girl most porn will have and the variety of looks we have from all different types of pornstars will fade away.
Basically we'll end up with a very watered down generic product.
What need is there for porn to go "mainstream" anyway? It's plentiful and easy to get. The quality level of women doing porn is pretty good. Today's technology has made the product level pretty high. What's the upside of having "mainstream" porn?

These movies aren't porn. They happen to have graphic sexual content, but more for the sake of realism ... or to push a point of view. The French stuff may indeed intend to be transgressive, but still it's not like you're watching Manuel Ferrara. I'm just addressing someone's notion about porn stars infiltrating indie films because no one else will expose themselves ... except, we're not talking about horror movies or sex comedies, we're talking small art films, and not porn stars but aspiring mainstreamers. No, you'll never see Julia Roberts sucking cock onscreen ... not like Chloe Sevigny. I'm just trying to broaden the frame of this discussion, because it seems to me that a lot of posters have kind of a limited or prejudicial perspective that's quite limiting and not really accurate.

I don't really care about Sasha, never did love her work or anything. Nice ass though, etc. I just have to get this off my chest.
I've been a wrestling fan since I was 10 or 11 (this was in the mid 90s) and I can see the Rock comparison but the Rock was a phenomenal entertainer. WWE hasn't been the same without him. I can't say the same for porn. Rock did Scorpion King and still came back to wrestle. He could have broken his neck in one match. Is that highly unlikely? Yes, but Rock kept coming back and actually wrestling up until 2004. Final match at Wrestlemania with Mick against Evolution, two years after Scorpion King. Why does this matter? I think it just shows that Rock enjoyed it and even though he traded up, he never said that he hated it. He also did interviews for WWE. Now you could say that Rock is smart and was simply using WWE or that fanbase to promote his films. Probably true but he didn't even ask to be released from his contract, he never asked to be released. Not after Mummy Returns, not after Scorpion King opened at #1 at the box office with 60 fucking million dollars, never! Rock thought that he and WWE could keep working together and WWE would renew his contract to make appearances, etc. WWE simply let it expire and as far as I know, Dwayne Johnson didn't even get a phone call to tell him or ask him to renew. He was hurt but they've worked it out since then obviously.
Nobody would prefer to be in porn rather than Hollywood, you can make comparisons, etc about how Hollywood can be just as trashy but nobody in their right mind, not even porn stars, would turn down the opportunity, exposure, money to star in a Hollywood picture. So I don't blame Sasha as an outside viewer necessarily, but I just think it goes to show that she's like everyone else in this business. The 'I love porn' sentiment was crap. She always wanted to be an actress but just fell into the porn game. She can't even come on here to say 'Thanks.' Okay, that's not even a big deal. If she criticizes the porn industry, then hey be my guest, jump on her like sharks. Oh and I apologize in advance if she has given an interview and said something like "I enjoyed my time in porn but I hope to pursue acting now." As far as I know, she hasn't mentioned the porn industry which just goes to show she wants to distance herself from it.
That was the real problem with the fans concerning the Rock, it's not that he left. It's that after he still came back time and again, he wanted to focus on acting and not hurt himself, etc. So he distanced himself away from WWE for a bit because he knew the fans would never be satisfied, always asking for one more match. I love the Rock, never understood the hate he received from the fans after he still came back. Sasha has not done that. Sorry to burst your bubble. She left as quickly as possible. She won't even come on here or give an interview to AVN or whoever talking about her acting experiences. Hypocrite much? Heck Rock could have left after his role in Mummy Returns but he wrestled for another few months in late 2001 before going off to shoot Scorpion King. He came back right after in early 2002 and left after the summer. Then he came back AGAIN in 2003 and went through April. He's come back three or four times since his last stint just because he had time and to entertain the fans. He didn't have to do that. The wrestling community doesn't translate to huge box office. He could have been hurt all those times he wrestled. I haven't even seen anybody ask Sasha to do one more scene/film on here. People just want her to say hello? And/or not turn her back on the industry but I think she already has.
Uh, has Sasha even been to an awards show to show hello to her old friends? Yeah, didn't think so.

Also, my real problem is why does Sasha deserve roles in Hollywood? Has she actually trained to become an actress? I'm taking a course now on acting, has she? Or is she simply getting roles because she was a porn star. Has she worked really hard and gone on a hundred auditions? I mean do people say "Wow, did you see that blowbang she did? Cast her in our drama!" Seriously, did she perform sexual favours for people? Oh and that's another thing going against her, every time she is cast in something, the director will have to field questions about why she was cast, people will always assume that she blew the guy off for the role, etc. You could say that about every actor/actress but it's much more obvious with girls like Sasha and even Riley Steele.
Finally, just like Riley Steele, why would I pay over 11 dollars to see Sasha or Riley 'act' or take off their clothes onscreen when I can see them sucking two guys off for free at home? Doesn't make sense to me. Maybe if they both take it dead serious and actually train to become better, but I don't see them becoming so good that I would pay to see them act alongside whomever. The public would laugh at any director who casts her, just like the film industry would lose respect. Do you see Nolan, or Spielberg or Ridley Scott casting her without being made fun of, by the public and their own peers?
Look, perhaps I'm being mean but I don't even think Sasha Grey can act. She's too wooden. It's not like "Wow, she's quite good. Why didn't she go into acting straightaway instead of wasting two years in porn?" No actress wanted to do that part. All IMO of course.
Basically, she doesn't deserve what she's getting now and she probably will turn her back on her fans. Sorry to say it, but that's how I see it. Don't expect her to post on here ever again boys. She's the real sell out. Particularly since she was so adamant about her sexual discovery and how she didn't do porn for money or fame, it was all about her sexual adventures. Apparently, she even said girls shouldn't use porn as a springboard. Sure Sasha, sure. Wow, what a hypocrite. That's exactly what she's doing. I don't think she deserves any role and she better have to work for it, or else yes, I hope she fails. Why should I take her seriously as an actress?

That accusation against Soderbergh (and Sasha) is quite distasteful. There's a long tradition in neo-realist and New Wave films to use non-actors in roles, that tradition has really been revived by Iranian directors recently for instance.
That is why I think Soderbergh decided to use Sasha, in general the idea is that the director picks someone because they are a 'type' and in general direct them to underact, which is why her performance may strike you as 'wooden.' It is a respected and well established practice and style outside Hollywood.

No offense against Sasha, but she's simply the flavor du jour for people hoping for that one major crossover from Porn to the mainstream. Say all you want about how times have changed, they haven't changed that much. Twenty years ago, people were wanting the same thing with Ginger or Traci. Then after that, all we heard was Jenna Jameson being the big crossover. Now, it's Sasha. Yeah, she did film by Steven Sonderburgh, but it was a low budget indie shot on a RedOne camera. It wasn't one of his big mainstream ones with, say, George Clooney. Everyone talks about her on "Entourage",well, she's playing herself. How hard is that?
I'm sure she'll do great in the indie film world. I wish her the best. I even would like to see it happen as a crossover star, but I'm not holding my breath.

Wake me when she gapes in a James Cameron 3D/IMAX extravaganza. Until then:

Deserve?! Hollywood isn't about what you deserve. Hollywood is about making money.
It would be the height of hypocrisy for the industry that made the words 'casting couch' famous to turn up its nose at Sasha Grey for doing sex films. Fact is, nobody gives a shit. The only question is whether or not she can attract an audience.

I disagree. It's totally possible and in fact likely that Sasha did "love" or at least "liked" porn. She entered porn with a goal for herself. She said she wanted to push herself and not make safe "vanilla" that she so many other girls were making. As far as I know she didn't just happen to "fall" into porn. She made a deliberate decision to do porn. Someone who doesn't like or love porn doesn't make the career decisions Sasha made. If she wasn't into porn and was only using it as a stepping stone she could've easily choose a path like Tera Patrick or Jenna Jameson where they became a contract girl making a few movies a year, working only with a handful of people, and have a long list of sex acts they won't do. That's what a pornstar who is more concerned about the fame and the money does. Sasha's porn career choices have been completely the opposite of that.
Maybe she hasn't made her big porn exit speech is because maybe she plans to eventually come back? Has Sasha offically said anywhere that she's never plans to do porn again? Just because she didn't appear at a show and make announcements or visit this board right now doesn't mean she doesn't keep in touch with her friends in the porn biz. Many pornstars have stopped posting here over the years and many take a break from the biz. Doess that mean they've turned their back on the porn business? She out there trying something new, making new friends and dealing with what's the right choices to make next. No offense but with all that going on I'd think her coming to a mesageboard to read posts from a bunch of strangers requesting her next gangbang or double anal wouldn't be high on her "To Do" list.
Maybe she'll never do porn again. Maybe she'll be back in a month. I'm sure she's taking things slow and weighing her options. Why rush back to the porn world to say anything this eaarly in the game?

Thanks for noting that, Blacksix. I think the non-cinephiles don't know that Soderbergh has shot a series of films, like GFE, that use non-actors exclusively. IN fact, Sasha was the only cast member with any screen credits.

And breaking news: There's no porn to go back to ... The only way most AVN winners are paying bills these days is by escorting. There can't be many directors left who are paying the $2k anal rate these days.

offtopic:
I have never seen the whole movie. walk out after 30 minutes or so...
Fact is:
Sasha can ALWAYS come back doing porn. Always.
What I really like about all of this is that it sparked such a tread.
We all agree that todays mainstream Hollywood and porn valley are too boring, comfortable and what not.
As somebody said before what works is what makes money, period!
I also guess what maybe had to change in porn-land would be things like performer unions, the fact that everybody should see and tread it like high risk job/sport, people compared it to modern day gladiators, a startercourse/"so you want to be in porn"/"school" or something.
Thing is porn is still a shadow-business cause parts of it are not "professional".
