| SelenaSilver Selena Silver 529 Posts 7/03 |  Posted - Feb 12 2004 : 7:57PMWorking for Alex Ladd of DVSX is like working in porn heaven: everything he tells you happens like it is supposed to happen, he doesn't waste your time, his sets are comfortable and fun, he treats you great, and he makes you look awesome in print and on film. I wish EVERY director was as great to work for. I shot a scene for "Double Parked 8" for Alex on Friday, January 30th. We did everything at the DVSX office - and, boy do they have the perfect setup there! Constance Le (who has directed some of their movies and is the production manger/administrative manger) does the makeup for Alex's movies. I LOVED how she did my makeup - it was some of my favorite of all time. ***Check out pics from the set*** I went from her office down to Alex's photography studio. He was a professional photographer before porn (that is also what he went to university for) and he actually got into porn almost by accident. First he shot photos, then he shot camera, then he started His studio is awesome - the perfect set-up for shooting box covers and pretty girls. And, it is right there across the hall from his office inside the DVSX offices. THAT is the kind of setup I want in my studio one day. :) We shot the pretty girls for the "Double Parked 8" movie I was shooting that day for Alex. I LOVED those pics and am so glad that Constance, Alex, and DVSX let me put some of them up in my Yahoo Group for you to check out. Alex shoots SO fast. He knows what he wants, he has the perfect set-up - so there is no time wasted. His lighting setup is fantastic. It would take a photographer two hours to set them up and get them right in a field location - he has a permanent set up. All he has to do is walk in, shoot, and walk out. Constance is right there to help with poses. She put me in a couple new ones I really liked. My favorite part of the shoot was when she would run out to show me how she wanted me to pose. (I wish Alex had taken some of those pictures!!! I think a lot of people would like to see the Constance Le "pretty girls". lol) What is funny, is that I wrote in my review of Alex Ladd's "Double Parked 7" that he had BY FAR the best quality photos of the girls I had EVER seen from any company in porn. I didn't know any of this when I wrote it - they were just amazing. Well, now I know why... When we were finished, we walked across the hall into Alex's office where we were going to shoot the scene. He has a gorgeous office (I guess it pays being the owner of DVSX!) I loved the huge flat screen plasma screen hanging behind Alex's great desk; I loved the gorgeous leather couch. Either his decorating taste is top-notch or Connie has been very busy doing their offices! lol Alex has put in daylight light bulbs in his office to match his shoot lights so it is very easy to shoot a beautifully lit scene in his office. He has a great couch against the back wall with a nice rug and accessories. You would think our scene was shot in a nice house just like everyone elses. But, we never had to leave the DVSX offices. I LOVED that. For the scene, I was working with Cheyne Collins and Maurice Philipe and doing a DP scene (obviously). Alex shoots two cameras at once (both hardcore) so he only shoots 25 minutes of tape and still has all he needs for the scene. He also shoots straight through - from the beginning all the way to right before the pop shot without We stopped at the pop shot to go back and take all the still photos and then it was back to the pop for video and we were done. It went SO fast... The scene was really, really hot. Photographer and writer Lee Carver was on the set doing an article about the shoot so I won't write a lenghty description of the sex. You can read that in his article. (He also took some great pics, which I have seen). But, this scene is going to be a VERY good one to watch. :) I also know they shot Ariana Jolie for DP8 so this is going to be a movie to buy! I heard her scene is amazing. (I don't know who else is in it yet). The Double Parked line is the DVSX top-selling line and after seeing two of them and being in a third one - I know why. This is a line worth checking out! Check Lee Carver's site for his article on this shoot. I would HIGHLY recommend any girl to shoot with Alex Ladd -he is one of the BEST directors to work for in the business. DVSX is just a very comfortable, family-type place where a girl feels really at home. And, you will look better in your photos and video here than almost any other place! I would HIGHLY recommend that porn fans who haven't checked out DVSX stuff to do so. I really like Alex Ladd's stuff and also Bryan Xin's stuff (I haven't seen the other people's yet). It is REALLY hot. I LOVED doing this scene and it really shows on the camera. I will keep you posted on the release date when I know it.

I'm quite particular about the quality of the DVD's that I watch and DVSX never disappoints -- beautiful women, always well shot, and lots of extras. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their products to anyone. As far as Alex Ladd goes, he's one of maybe two directors who's stuff I'll always check out. He has a talent with a camera that very few have. After listening to Selena here and numerous other people elsewhere, it really sounds like the industry people also think quite highly of how DVSX does things. I don't know about anyone else, but to me, it's really good to know that my money's going to people who treat others right and seem to have some integrity in what they do. There's no worse feeling than to know your hard earned money is going to some shmuck who's making money right and left by ripping people off. just my 2 cents [Link] |
