Oh, I was sure that all was fine, I was just stating my opinion that it looked a little too rough, at least for my tastes.
I wouldn't think that Joey would intentionly hurt any performer, so the reason I didn't care for that scene was because I don't like watching rough rough sex. Not my thang. I truly hate Max Hardcore more than I hate getting hit by a car, so when I see anything resembling his "work" I get upset and get out the red pen and start deducting points.
Nothing against Joey, Brandon, or Sledge, I just don't like that sorta thing. Other's may, so I gave it an honest review, of course adding my opinions in there.

FINAL THOUGHTS : The sex in this volume is just a little too rough for my tastes and I hope that this isn’t a sign of things to come. I don’t mind mildly rough looking sex , but this volume went to a whole new level… Ashley Blue looked as though she would have rather been anywhere but where she was at various points throughout her ordeal, or it could just be that she is a very talented actress . But either way, as fast as that scene inspired wood, it chopped it down just as quickly . I was actually enjoying the Chloe/Julie/Sledge scene until the middle of the scene, when Julie looks visibly shaken. April May and Kelli Tyler both turned in good scenes, but the best scene is that of Ann Marie and Lee Stone. Actually both of Ann Marie’s scenes are pretty hot, as they show a female taking control, which makes them a welcome change.
Fans of very rough sex should really love this DVD. I on the other hand did not care for much of the action, so I can not recommend this title.
I just rented this tape and I can't say how much it disappoints me. Brandon continues to be as mean as he can possibly get away with it and then he always writes back and says that it was that particular gals 'favorite scene'. I sure wish he would put his efforts into hot nasty scenes that we want to see as opposed to his stupid scenes. I will NOT spend anymore rental money of any tape that he is in! Den

I spoke to Joey about this particular scene before and after I read BigMike's review of Service Animals 10. Mike- thanks for being open-minded and clarifying that this scene just isn't the kind of thing that turns you on.
I am always concerned that a girl may do something just because she thinks it's what the director wants.
However, Joey told me that when the DVD of Service Animals 10 came out, Ashley Blue and a friend of hers went over to Joey's house to see the scene, and she was very excited to see it, and totally happy with how the scene came out.
I am well aware that this scene isn't going to be loved by everyone, but I wanted to clarify the circumstance on this one.
Thanks for this behind the scenes information. To alot of us here, it means an awful lot. I haven't seen Service Animals 10 yet, but if I follow my own Service Animals precedent, it's only a matter of time. :)
Joey's been shooting rough type sex for the Service Animals series for at least the last 4 volumes of this series and I didn't hear anybody cmpliaing about it before, so I don't see what all the uproar is about. While it's true that (Probably) no one wants to see a girl actaully physically and emotionally hurt by doing a scene, there is no question that this kind of rough sex is appealing to quite a lot of people. The porn industry is about money, and they make these kind of films because they sell and make money... I'm sure Joey would not just tell the guys to go ahead and rough a girl up without discussing and arranging it with her before hand... Any woman has the power to say yes or no to a scene, therefore they must take the responsibilty of being an adult and making that decision. It's not like a girl in the porn industry struggles to find work, hell even the most ordinary girls can find work. Therefore any girl waning to work for Joey or any other film with rough sex in it should make to the choice to do so because that's the kind of scene she wants to do. If she doesn't there are plenty of other scene she could do. To me it's kinda like a boxer wanting to fight Lennox Lewis, then complaining that he punched him. Lewis is a boxer, you know what you're getting into.
BTW: Haven't seen SA10 yet, but can't wait, such a huge fan of Joey (love the comments on his boxcovers too... "Joey's mom says 'please make one more, think about the future'")

Hey Biggie, if that´s possible, try to meet Joey in person. You´ll be SURE that he would NEVER hurt any performer or force ´em to make any scene under duress. In fact, he uses the performers´ own sexual fantasies on the scenes. That´s why they work so well.

Sometimes he goes straight to the point, explaining how and why, very meticolously, sometimes he's very aggressive (but never rude). Mike, as anyone else, had the right to point out the extreme nature of that scene, and everyone else who has a problem with Brandon's style, especially when it's obvious that the girls are not aware of what is gonna happen to them, has the right to write it in a review. Hope Mike (or anyone else) won't feel the need to be "more diplomatic" from now on.

Not losing any, just my PERSONAL OPINION is that I don't care for real rough sex. That's why I have no problems calling Max Hardcore the Shitbag of adult film. It's just something I'm not interested in.
Service Animals is a rougher line of sex, I knew that after I bought the first one, also my first ever overall rating of a 5. So I had to know that the sex would get rougher as the series went on and it did.
I'm not a fan of rough sex which is why this title got the rating it did. I also believe I gave an honest review(?), not editing it, because that's how it looked to me.
Don't get me wrong, but I think you, Brandon, are annoyed that this film didn't get a higher rating, right? Well, there are others who will no doubtedly love this, maybe they'll give it a higher rating. It's nothing personal, just a matter of tastes/opinions.
I don't mean to speak out of turn, but I'm not sure that I see in Brandon's posts any concern over the rating you gave the title in your review. I think he just wanted to make clear that the women in the movie were fully informed before hand and are making the choice to do that kind of scene. I could be wrong, but I'm sure he recognizes that viewers' tastes vary, and I doubt he's trying to get you to justify your rating. I for one am glad that he posted this on the forum rather than emailing you, because shooting this kind of sex is walking a fine line, and I for one appreciate having this inside information. I may not like the scene either (I don't know, as I haven't seen it), but I appreciate Brandon's concern that everyone is clear about the fact that this was a fully consentual and maybe even enjoyable experience for those involved in the scene.

Brandon is one of the most conscientious perfomers I have ever met. I think his concern is that a lot of people think he's a mean person because he pushes the girls so far in their scenes. But I've never seen Brandon be a mean person, and certainly not with another performer.

I totally understand.
My second post wasn't meant to criticize you. I was responding to some of the people who were wondering why Brandon was taking this subject so seriously.
I never thought that anyone here was criticizing me, well maybe a few, but I just wanted to clear up some points, which I believe I did a fairly good job at.
I look forward to possibly meeting Mr. Iron in person, in Vegas, if he'll be there. Because as I said, I think he is a great performer, a bit on the rough side, but still one of the best.

I suppose I am depraved scum for saying this, but I thought "Service Animals 10" fucking rocked. Especially the scenes with Ashley Blue and Julie Night/Celine Dior. The whole fetishy/BDSM/playacting-on-the-edge scenarios Joey finds actors willing enough to indulge in push porn into a hyper-realism that's blisteringly erotic. I thought I was going to lose my mind watching some of this stuff, which is a pretty tough effect to achieve if you've been consuming porn for 20 years.

i totally agree with BigMike. i'll take it one step further and say that even mildly rough sex does nothing for me. *however*, i don't mind watching rough sex if it appears that the girls enjoy it, or at the very least are not bothered by it.
i used to be a huge critic of Brandon Iron's stuff (perhaps i still am) - not because i thought he was a jerk or a misogynist, but because in many of his scenes it appeared that the girls were not responding too well to his rough treatment, which, imho, made for unenjoyable porn. when the female performers look like they aren't enjoying themselves - i get turned off.

I agree, MLyons pretty well nailed the specifics of the movie. I was left with no doubt that all the action was consensual, and that Julie in particular was playing out one of her fantasies. Just re- viewed Ashley Blues scene, which I thought was tremendous the first time I saw it, but after reading some of the comments, I started feeling kinda guilty.
Ashley seemed really into that scene to me. The part where Joey fucks her, slaps her ass really hard, while she furiously diddles her clit is as intense as it gets. Ashley begins to cry and I guess that is the objectionable moment. Seemed highly orgasmic to me, and well deserving of some award recognition.

That's good advice Mr Iron. But I was the first person to review that title on this website and the first to have it show up at rame. Don't particularly read AVN so can't say if they reviewed it first. So I had no idea it was going to be this rough going in to the DVD.

Ashley Blue is in Young and Anal Vols 26 and 27 and Gutter Mouth Vol 26. One of those scenes is really kickin - I think its the Gutter Mouth but I got a bad memory. Too much porn.
