And, don't think you need to fuck like they do in porn, most of this is done to produce a scene that looks good for a viewer. The simple stuff, like missionary is what actually feels good! |

| Hardware All-Star Member Your other left 14595 Posts 3/02 | How to prepare: Take a shower. Brush your teeth. Trim your nails. You're going to be up close and VERY personal, so hygiene is important. What to do: Take your time. Talk, and pay attention - sex is like a jazz session - everybody's following the beat but, at the same time, everybody's winging it, so the better you can pick up on your partner's cues the sweeter the music will be. What to expect: Expect your partner to reciprocate; at least I do. Everything else depends on individual preferences and boundaries. Those are for you to discover. What not to do: Don't try to be who you aren't. If you aren't experienced then don't pretend to be experienced. If you aren't comfortable doing something then don't pretend to be. If you are trying to please your partner, and you have even average powers of conversation and observation, you'll figure out what she likes and what she doesn't. That's really all that matters. If she is prepared to do the same for you then things should end up satisfactorily for everyone involved. |

Tell her you're really excited and happy to be with her but you're also a bit nervous because you're not that experienced. If she's someone worth being with she'll take that on board and you'll work it together. I do thinking reading at reliable sources is a good thing to do. Violet Blue's site Tiny Nibbles has lots of good information, and her podcasts can be fun too - and don't forget to stay safe. |

You learn to control the sensations, and get used to the feelings. After the awkward beginnings (which I'm sure the VAST majority of people experience), you should be fine. Also as previously mentioned, make sure you're fairly hygienic - otherwise it's off-putting from the start. |

Of course, you'll get an even wider set of choices if you leave the Title box empty and simply select "Instructional" in the Categories box. * * * Information can be helpful both to learn skills and calm anxieties, but I agree with the other posters that you shouldn't let your fear of inexperience get in your way. The only way to get experience is to have experiences. Or, as they say, "Most mistakes come from a lack of experience, and most experience comes from making mistakes.". Dive in.
