Modern "highly educated" doctors prescribe antibiotics like they're freakin candy. They are causing it to happen. Call in the military for martial law and quarantine, give up your guns to the nice officers.
Maybe condoms will be good for porn. Tightening up the slack introduced by all the uncircumcised penises would be a good thing in my view. A condom and some lube might make me take some of these performers seriously again.

Uncircumsized penises have NOTHING to do with increased STD transmittal. So please educate yourself before you make such a generalization.

No, being such an ego junkie that you have to berate another's perfectly accurate observation as "idiotic" is idiotic. It's pretty silly anyway.
AsianAnalPantyhoserGuy is right. In fact, all of the more common illnesses normally treated with antibiotics are becoming resistant to them, and for the reason that antibiotics are overprescribed. Adding to this problem is the focus of drug companies on creating 'glamor drugs' like Viagra and new anti-depressants or allergy meds that create high volume sales. New antibiotics simply don't generate the return on investment that keeps the Board of Directors happy.
As for the effect of all this on porn, there's not likely to be one in my opinion. This has been an issue for decades of which this article is only one instance. The porn business already carries risks far greater than a antibiotic resistant STD, and already uses an inadequate screening process to protect performers.

Uncircumcised penises do play a higher risk factor in the transmittal of HIV. I do not know about other STD's, nor was that my point. My original thoughts on the subject of uncircumcised penises is simply that they are very lackluster in the penetration factor.
Circumcised penises, as long as they're lubed, actually go in and out of an orifice while creating a type of friction visible to the viewer.
Uncircumcised penises go into an orifice and all you see is stationary rolled up skin that creates no visible friction. It's like watching paint dry to me. I mean no insult to uncircumcised men, they just bore me during a scene. With a condom and lube, they actually penetrate with visible friction.

Your visual observation of UPs in porn may be accurate, I don't know. But your conclusion that they are any different than circumcised viz a viz the enjoyment of sex or as a factor in the transmisssion of disease are completely wrong.

Moisture in the folds of warm, wet skin breeds bacteria at a faster rate. I also recall hearing quite the extensive broadcast on the BBC dealing with the findings on increased transmission rates of HIV in the cases of uncircumcised penises.

foreskin breeds bacteria, the same as all skin does. This is an issue of hygiene, not circumcision. Circumcision probably became a religious and cultural tradition in a time when bathing was infrequent and the genital area was therefore a much more frequent seat of rashes, sores and infections than it is now.
At any rate, there is absolutely no credible evidence that, all other things being equal, circumcision is healthier than retaining the foreskin.
Masters and Johnson also reported anecdotal evidence that retaining the foreskin actually minutely increases sensitivity in the male and stimulation of the female during intercourse.

I was watching an Anabolic/Diabolic dvd with cutie chubby Chelsea where she was talking about how much she disliked sucking and fucking guys who weren't circumcized, of course she fucked them anyway. Is this a common complaint from porn starlets? I don't see too many of them shying away from Manuel Ferrara or Steve Holmes.

There are girls who have their preferences. I've met many girls who prefer uncut because it's easier and more fun to jerk off.
Anyway, uncut is pretty much the future. The USA is the only country where circumcised males make up a significant proportion of the population. This however will die out as more American babies are left uncut.
I guess this is a good reason to hire more Jewish male talent now for all the circumcised lovers hehe.

I'm sure some girls have a preference for circumcised penises, but neither Manuel nor me are on to many "no lists".
Many girls tell me that they prefer uncut dicks especially for anal sex. It makes it much easier and pleasurable for them. With a foreskin you also don't need lube or less lube and the sex is more natural.
Last night I did a scene with Kimberly Kane and Nicki Hunter. We shot it in three versions: soft, with condom and without. Both girls were bitching about the anal with condom but had a lot of fun without. We needed a lot of lube for the condom part but pussy juice and spit was enough when without condom.
But back to the subject of this thread. In so many years of sex on and off camera I never caught gonorrhoea.

Thank You for that comment Mr. Holmes, it makes much sense. I always knew you were a pretty cool guy and the fact that you posted on this thread pretty much substantiates that thought. It seems like uncircumcised would definitely be easier on the women, however, I am much more concerned with finding material where women are crazy insane about taking it real deep and hard up the ass. I am extremely perverted and like to see it very wet, sloppy, and most unnatural. It is merely my selfish humble preference.
As far as gonorrhea goes, I wouldn't wish that on anybody. Stay lucky in lust.

Yes it was, but it doesn't change my contention that under conditions of proper hygiene, circumcision has no particular advantages in disease control.
The studies upon which the articles conclusions were based were conducted in Africa where HIV is far more prevalent and overall safe sex practices far less prevalent than here. Under such circumstances, practically any thing such as a foreskin that served to provide a nurturing environment for the fragile HIV virus might be thought to add to infection rates.
In my view, the conclusions for this study suffered from at least two common fallacies: The sample studied was rather small to be drawing such definite conclusions, and the conclusion itself may have mistaken correlation for cause and effect. The uncircumcised sample, in other words, may have coincidentally had some other factor present that contributed to a high rate of infection.
some more interesting information, perhaps

I always find your opinions interesting duefuss.
All I really can say for sure is that I thank my Jewish doctor in heaven all the time for my circumcision. As far as porn with uncircumcised penises, boring for me as a fan of penetration. I do not plan on touching any penises in the future so I'm cool with it either way.
Probiotics are good, antibiotics are bad,...mmmmkay?

Second that Jewish doctor who may also a rabbi bit (circumcision is usually done by a rabbi). Long story short, I was born in a medium-sized city and my mother was sick and unable to make a decision on circumcision, so on the 8th day like is in Jewish custom he had my dick cut (he must have assumed we were Jews, which we are not and have never been). My brother was also cut, as my mother just thought that was what was done (having nothing to do with religion) and so it was in this case, again by that same doctor/rabbi. By the time I was in high school and saw other naked men in a locker room, we had moved to a small town with a single OB/GYN that circumcised babies routinely and all I saw was circumcised penises in school. I don't know if that doctor was also using a rabbi or not, but that town doesn't have a large Jewish population, so I sort of doubt it. Personally, I have seen a circumcision and I think the process is barbaric and would not submit my children to it unless medically necessary!

Foreskin? No foreskin? It's not like WE get a choice on this one, although I met a kid in the hostital 50 + years ago that was doing it at 17 years old -- why, I had no idea. At any rate, the whole floor knew whenever that poor kid took a piss, because you could hear him yelling in pain -- no thanks.
In 1945 it was routine, but I escaped because I was 3 months premature, too frail, and everybody assumed I was going to die, so hello foreskin! So here we are defending our own particular situations, which, come to think of it, probably determines more of what we believe than we realize.

Thank God the medical community cares more about the physical comfort of patients now. Of course 50 years ago all we had was morphine (methadone was only in Germany then and the Allies had just "taken" the copyright as booty from WWII. I can remember a time where pain relief was little and far between, and am thankful that docs are more willing to prescribe opiates for severe non-cancer pain now!

Yup. We had a guest lecturer who studied economics side of pharmacology and he said there's a huge drop-off in private R&D for antibiotics. Specifically, I guess companies aren't finding them as profitable as more Rx for chronic diseases (DMARDs, psychotropics, analgesics...).
This is very troubling especially in the backdrop of increasing drug-resistance and brand new drug resistant species never seen before. It wouldn't be so bad if micro-organisms didn't evolve at a rapid rate, but the essential stop in antibiotics is going to have future repercussions.
Looks like government will have to step in and increase incentive for R&D (kinda like orphan drugs) of antibiotics even though infectious disease is a lot more common than the the orphan diseases.
Kinda scary for people like me who are deathly allergic to multiple classes/families of antibiotics already (one being a last line treatment for a common resistant superinfection). Take away future prospects of last-line treatments and it's an even scarier world.
Seems like microbes are winning the war.

As long as there is profit from the sale of drugs for illness, it will flourish. It's only a matter of time before some crazy plague infects the populace and we all line up for the KOOL-AID.

The risk is always present for a drug resistant strain of infection or virus to develop. It's nature, evolution.
In response to the circumcised vs. uncircumcised, in 2005 there was a lot of attention devoted to this matter after results from a large study in Africa researching HIV / AIDS. There was a high correlation observed between uncircumcised men and HIV / AIDS infection. The evidence was so compelling that, prior to the study's completion, the organizers and sponsors of the study began offering free circumcisions to populations.
But don't take my word for it. Check out the articles I post next.
Sorry for the 2 posts, but I am doing this on an iPhone. The text I entered is deleted when I view other web pages.

I want to make it clear that I don't have a problem with uncircumcised men. I  not trying to disparage or offend anyone. My intent is only to spread awareness.
I'm not a doctor or a social scientist. If I had to venture a guess I would say that uncircumcised penises experience micro-tears in the flesh during intercourse from the stretching and flexing of the tissues.  These micro-tears would facilitate virus transfer. I would also suppose that properly circumcised males in Africa come from a higher socio-economic background, which would positively influence their values and decisions in regards to high-risk sexual behavior.
I'm circumcised, have never handled another penis, and have never been to Africa, so it remains a guess.

I guess I'm just lucky by having a strong immune system. I caught Chlamydia twice so far, which is quick and easy to tread. I might not even have had it because sometimes tests show false positive results.
