Greetings all,

My wife and I introduced a chrome vibrator into our relationship about a year ago. We loved it, but it was cheaply made and quite working soon after we got it. We thought that we would try something else for our anniversary this year. The trick is that my wife is still a little "uptight" about sex and has many pre-conceived notions and little experience (but she's open to change). We are both new to sex toys and I found ADT through a web search for toy reviews.

We thought that we would try something waterproof, and Temptress' G-spot waterproof vibe (as reviewed by Dumblonde) sounds like what we are looking for, but it does sound like Dumblonde is pretty easy to please (sorry, no offense intended). My wife, however, is anything but easy to please. Does anyone else have experience with this product or suggestions of other similar products? Does anyone know of another INDEPENDANT review source (all the other reviews seem to be associated with an online store and always give glowing reviews)? Lastly, to Dumblonde, have you had further experiences with the product that affirm/refute your original review and do you think that this would be a good "first-timer's" experience?

Female opinions are coveted, but everyone's input is appreciated.

Thanks in advance for the advice,
Darkangel

She might like a rabbit-type vibe. Those are great, lots of imitators to choose from. I reviewed a couple of them and I really, really liked one called the Lilac Lover.

For a waterproof vibe, I liked the incredibly affordable Water Missile.

Just for the record, I have no connection with any companies that produce these toys. You can see from my other toy reviews that not all get a glowing five-star salute.

No offense taken, and you are absolutely right! I AM too easy to please, but not because I have any affiliation with any of these toy companies. I love toys, but my problem is more akin to premature ejaculation in a guy, so I did slow down my toy reviews, he he. Try being critical in the rosy afterglow of an orgasm, it's not easy!

I've heard many good things about those rabbits, but I've never personally tried one. That sounds like a good bet for your wife, even though they're not waterproof, it might be a good place to start.

I haven't tried the real, original rabbit, either, but they have an orgasm guarantee.

I have to second and third the rabbit recomendation. I have one and I LOVE it more than I can tell you.

I don't know about it being a good first timer though, it looks a little intimidating.

*I can even tell you beyond my own personal experience why I say this.

Saki and I popped in a sex store the other day on the way to lunch and there were two gals there looking at the Rabbit so of course in all my shyness said "Oh! That's the BEST, I mean THE BEST, if you get anything, you should get that!" To which one of the girls replied, (verbatum) "It looks a little intimidating..."

Perhaps you guys could preview some toys on-line together, that would be a good way to examine your choices without having to go to a sex store or get something you're not sure about thru the mail. ???

Another way to bring toys into your relationship is to start with things like blindfolds and flavored lubes...that brings in a new dimension slowly and can be a easy gateway to other varieties of toys.

Anyway, ramble ramble. My final suggesttion is to go with something simple, the more bells and whistles the more likley it is to produce anxiety or guilt.

Just my 2 cents...
Luna

Oh! And by the way...no one that reviews toys is affiliated with the retailers, manufacturers or otherwise. Our reviews are our own.

There is at least one rabbit varient that is waterproof, called the "Waterproof Rabbit" from California Exotic Novelties.

I'm sorry if my comment about independent reviews was taken wrong. I meant that ADT is the only independent review source I have found so far and I was wondering if there were any other sites out there. Thank you very much for your honest reviews by the way. And thanks for the advice. I think that rabbits are probably going to be a little too intimidating at this time, but the blindfold/lube suggestion is very good, thanks. Does anyone else have input?

I've never tried one myself, but I know at least a couple women who swear by the Pocket Rocket. There is a waterproof version called the Water Dancer. It's a very nonthreatening little toy which reportedly has good power for its size. It is for external use only, though, so if you're looking for goddess-spot stimulation, it won't be a good choice.
