From this article "a studio rep confirmed to AVN that Adrianna Lynn is no longer with DP." Now that contract didn't last very long. I can now see why she wasn't listed in the Pirates 2 cast list. I sure would like to know what happened.

Yeah, I'm really interested to know what went down. But I don't think DP would have broken her contract because this would have been costly for them in addition to money lost from their initial promoting of her. But who knows. Maybe her initial DP DVD didn't sell well, and they figured it would save them money in the long run to break the contract.
I just put a couple pieces of the puzzle together...I think Adrena wanted to leave DP. Here is why: Adrena and Tricia are friendly. As Tricia indicated in another posting, the two met at some sort of function. Since then, they have exchanged friendly posts on these forums. Thus, it would be logical to assume that Tricia would know things about Adrena that are not public. Therefore, Tricia's post congratulating Adrena indicates that Adrena indeed has something to be happy about. The congratulations indicates that Adrena's departure is a victory for her and something she wanted. Why would Tricia congratulate Adrena about DP breaking a lucrative contract with her that she did not want? DP has recently signed a number of new girls recently. Perhaps Adrena feared that she would get less promotion as a result.
i think you're looking into it a little too much. lets just wait and see what she has to say about it and not speculate as to what we think might have happened.

I'd only met Adrenalynn once in person. I had heard through the grapevine in this tiny little business that her contract was ending and that she wasn't traumatized by it, so I figured that once it was made public, congratulations were in order. I hope that she was not encouraged to break her contract. Why? No matter how you slice it, porn is forever. People are always going to recognize you no matter what you do. If she stays under contract and only does a few movies a year, yes, she will make less money than a gonzo girl in the short term. After her contract is up, she can work elsewhere for more money than what she would have been paid as a regular gonzo girl. And even under contract, she can dance and do privates, so she can equal what some gonzo girls generate in income with less wear and tear on her body.
