Fact is that they cooperate with a pirate (Mr. Robert Zink, Florida) in the USA who is using their credit card terminal to get his orders processed. This is 100% illegal as all credit card companies explicit prohibit the acceptance of their cards for pirated and illegal goods (e.g. bootlegs of DVD/CD/motion pictures, music, illegal www download, drugs, guns, plagiates of fashion etc.) We kindly asked Mr. Backhuis and company to stop processing for Mr. Zink several times now, but they are trying to tell us that they don't know what we are talking about ... If you select Erodvd's latest offer on SG Video titles at 20.00 EUR per item you can get exactley the same DVD at online-videoshop.com for only 18.00 EUR. Please remember, these prices are back programme prices and Erodvd will never be able to offer our actual releases for the price of 20.00 EUR. You can't compare "apples with pears" (don't know the english idiomatic for that german saying, sorry). And for those DVD at online-videoshop.com who cost 59.00 USD you always get another DVD free. You also can select a DVD at 39.00 USD (some series are cheaper) and choose a free one that's worth 59.00 or 69.00 USD. Regarding the pirates: But, if a customer is willing to support a pirate only to safe a few $$, you will never get him to buy the original. This is also valid on the large fan group that serves the filesharing and edonky community. Those peolpe are "Scrounger" (is that the right word?), they will never buy an original either. Best thing would be big discount on the whole range when you buy several DVDs, i.e $ 50 for 2 DVDs, $ 70 for 3 DVDs, $ 85 for 4 DVDs, etc... And I agree with other posters about the fact that lower prices would help you in your fight against piracy. [Link] |
