Hi, I'm new to this forum but a search got me no results, so I figured I'll start a new thread.

I'm really not a fan of pubic hair on either myself or my lady, but the only reliable way to remove it seems to be wet shaving. Now, that's fun to do on a Friday or Saturday night, but it's almost impossible to keep up the trim without going at it every 2 or 3 days. Now, that >would< be fun to do too, but it's not all that practical since there's more stuff going on thang going down ~~

I've tried hair removal creams, but - unless you like balls of fire - would not go that way anymore. There's laser removal, but that's out of my price league.

Since it seems - from what I read - that several professionals are on this forum I thought I'd ask, how (if at all) you keep that close cut without pimples and ingrown hair. I don't like hair in my mouth, but the 3 or 4 day stubbles are even worse, feels like kissing an unshaved guy, not what I'd expect to run into down there.

PN

PS: I do hope this is not off topic for this board! If so, moderator(s), please delete. I know it has nothing to do with DVDs or movies per se, but might interest others? And if there's a thread about it that I just did not find, pls post it and close this one :-)

I've heard shaving with Neosporin helps.

never heard of that, interesting.

Oh, and thanks to the moderator for the move, I realized that I picked the wrong sPot for this post, but it was too late...

The best way to keep it trimmed is I guess to use a beard trimmer that has level selector. If you do it with razor or the electric razor/shaver then you might probably get pimples that will itch. Beard trimmer is cool, never leaves rashes or pimples and is lightning fast.

I can barely be bothered to shave my face -- let alone manicure my man-garden!

man-garden! Haha, that's a new one ;-)

But yeah, that's my main problem too, it's a lot of work. I don't get pimples all that much and - after a couple nicks - left the balls fuzzy, but it's all long grown back. I guess if you're a professional it's comparable to putting on a uniform and keeping that clean and ironed. I wish somebody would come up with a cream.
There actually is some stuff that you have to put on twice a day for a month or so, that supposedly inhibits growth for ever,a but I have no idea if it works.

I just find skin against skin much sexier than fuzzy fur against fuzzy fur. Makes for a much different (and better IMO) sensation~

No, that must be quite a shock coming across an unshaved man in your underwear

Personally, with my balls I always wet shave. That is all I do so for myself I can't speak any further. However, my girlfriend waxes thoroughly. First time she had it done professionally and ever since she has let me do it for her. I don't see any reason why you should not do the same it's hardly rocket science after all. Personally though, were I to do it, I'd be disinclined to wax the scrotum: I just have visions of the whole thing ripping in two!!!!

SNP,

Umm... A rather personal question for a strange to ask I suppose... But SNP, your gf seriously waxes her pussy, lips and all? That must be SOOOOO painful!!!

The only bit she really doesn't like is the half inch that lies above where her labia meet/ clitoral hood is as the hair density seems to be greatest here. The rest she doesn't find that painful and I suppose she prefers a bit of pain once a month for the result of being very smooth.

You might also be interested to learn that generally there are a few stubborn hairs left over after I've waxed her but she deals with those herself using one of those whirling electric epilators that pluck short hairs out.

Fascinating. My wife can hardly stand plucking her eyebrows. (Other hair removal is limited to shaving and "Nair" (sp?).)

Buy the Cleancut shaver here. I use this dry shaver with baby powder every other day.

A bunch of my friends and I on another message board discovered this stuff: Magic Shaving Powder- Platinum
Skin condition shaving powder (depilatory) with Aloe & Vitamin E.

It's made for black men's beards, apparently they have trouble with the bumps and ingrown hairs too. It says on the can that it is for use on the face only, but about 30 of us (and some of my friends husband's too) have been using it for the entire bikini area for about a month now.

Drugstore.com carries it for less than $3.00. It works great, I'll never go back to shaving again. You mix the powder with water to make a paste, apply, wait about 8 minutes and either scrape off with the back side of a plastic knife or an old credit card, or you can wipe the mixture off with a wet wash cloth. I recommend the silver colored can, it seems to work the best.

If you want it to be really smooth, get it waxed.
