It's too bad for UK performers but would a work permit really be a solution? Most American performers are doing cam work and other non-porn things to earn a living so it's not like they are shooting porn on a regular basis. All a UK performer would get from a US work permit is a huge bill for a two way flight to the US, an expensive apartment/hotel room bill and cost of living in Los Angeles is also high so basically she would lose money from her stay in the US. A UK performer would be better served by looking for work in other European countries. Of course the big problem for many UK performers is that too many of them went the tattoo and body modification route and that makes getting porn jobs hard in any Country.
