Has to be the best porn out there now. Very tasteful and sexy. And its worth mentioning on a forum like this which has a disproportionate amount of folks who like distasteful porn! Topic Moved by - flash on Aug 8 2011

I also dig what I've seen from this series, this thread may be best over in Features though, where those who like a story with their porn will be more interested in discussing the films. The best of the features I've seen so far was Eddie Powell's Lost and Found. I'm wondering how Recipe for Romance and Dear Abby are relative to that film. Recipe for Romance looks promising and has Gracie Glam and Allie Haze, but I do want to see what Powell's next film is like and it does star super sexy Natasha Nice and Zoe Voss. These flicks are also a good showcase for the younger male talent, with proper direction they're not bad actors either.
I don't actually care about the plot/feature element of it. I just think the sex scenes look the way sex scenes should look. They could take the plot away and just keep the sex and the overall look to the scenes and performers and I'd be happy. So, I posted this here more as a shout out to what I think is good porn. Plot or not.
Well but the plot is what give sense to a scene , to have sex with a randomly met girl is not the same as to have sex with your best friend's daughter or your nephew , if there's is not a plot it's only sex
I *love* that this was moved to the Features Forum. I made it clear it wasn't the "feature" apsect the movies I was applauding. It was the way the sex scenes looked and were shot. Which applies to the overall discussion of what people like myself want in porn. If this board is any real indication, we're not likely to get much of the "good stuff". The people that post here typically have GOD AWFUL taste in sex and porn. It's ridiculous. I can't help but wonder if the reason this thread was moved is just a reflection of said poor taste leading a mod to not even comprehend what I was saying. I only mentioned what happens to be a series of features as an example of what I feel we need more of in porn. Which is absolutely something that belongs over in the main forum.
I've often thought that just having to put in more time on a set and have more non-sex interaction while doing dialogue etc can help to enhance chemistry in a lot of scenes. But, they could easily do nothing more than what Brazzers or NA do. And by no means am I saying the scenes on those sites are great. They have a lot of really stupid, tasteless themes (that people on boards like this probably think are sexy lmao) and the scenes rarely have the kind of great heat in them that NSR scenes have. But the plot/feature part isn't that essential IMO. I actually thought the newest NSR movie With this Ring as a whole didn't have that great of a set of scenes. Which may just be a chemistry thing or whatever. They did take the right approach it just wasn't quite there for me. With that said, Katie jordin is so freaking awesome and I do love her scene in that movie! Edited by - skyway on 8/9/2011 6:10:31 PM
I I too just bout With This Ring. It's my first Romance series venture. As a single male, I recognize I'm not exactly NS's target audience but I've heard great things about their sex scenes. So far, so good...
When Sweet Sinner stuff first came out, I really thought they were going to be the best in the "good sex" "genre". Ya know, the genre that focuses on showing good sex..instead of calisthenics or whatever you want to call the stuff people on the main forum here like. Anywho, they have some great stuff. But, I have a couple issues with them: 1) They use the same old, tired theme of older/younger hookups. It's basically been in almost every movie they've done. 2) As a result of 1, they frequently use some older, not-as-attractive as they once were actors. Instead of using younger, attractive talent like they did in The Stepmother 1 and some others, they've got too much stuff with +40 and even +50 actors. 3) It seems like there's too much of an emphasis on making scenes look intense that there's too much almost grimmacing. Smiling and a light, playful mood are super hot. It seems smiling and playfulness are the exception for SS. A lot of NSR stuff has gorgeous talent smiling with light laughter. Katie Jordin's scene in WTR just makes me melt with her smiling etc. Best scenes from SS for me that come to mind are Elexis Monroe with Tony De Sergio in Hotel Sin and the last three scenes in their first movie.
Skyway, I don't think you need to get so upset over the topic being moved. I obviously can't speak for Flash or why he moved this thread, but I'd imagine he moved the thread because, whether you like it or not, The Romance Series movies are FEATURES and therefore discussions about them are most appropriate to "The Feature Side" forum. I'm not exactly sure who you're accusing of having "GOD AWFUL taste in sex and porn," nor what information you're using to make your judgments, but the point of any forum is to have discussions. Taste is relative and your taste is just that: yours. You're welcome and encouraged to share your thoughts and opinions, whether or not they differ from other people's, but you seem to be taking a very hostile approach towards those whose tastes and ideas might differ from your own.

I'm the one who suggested that this be moved to Features since I thought the conversation would be more productive here. If you just want to argue with Mike Adriano fans that their taste in sex scenes sucks, knock yourself out, but there's no arguing about taste. I do agree with you that more full-body shots and real interaction between the performers in sex scenes like in the Romance series is something I'd like to see more of in porn. I actually think this approach is becoming more common even in gonzo, it's one of the reasons that I'm a fan of William H and Mason's work for Elegant. It also seems more common in a lot of g/g porn, even in Belladonna's work. Can anyone else think of other directors who work this way?
There is/was a discussion over there about what people want to see more of in porn. 95% of the stuff suggested in that thread is pretty tasteless to probably 95% of people. The people saying they want more gapes and the other stuff they mention represent a vocal minority IMO. Agreed about the g/g porn. I'd like to see much more hetero porn be shot just as, say, Girlfriends films does g/g porn. I also think that if there was more stuff done like that, porn would be able to attract even more hot girls. Girls would be much more willing to do stuff like that then the calisthenics stuff porn is known for now. I do like the approach those Elegant Angel directors take. BUT, my big pet peeve with them is the lack of variety of male talent. I'm sick of Manuel Ferrara, Erik EVerhard etc. Nothing against those guys but we need more variety. More variety could make for more "spice" and sparks for the girls. I don't care how good a male performer may be, he can't have amazing chemistry with 5 bazillion girls in two weeks or whatever. And the whole argument of finding guys who can "perform in front of a camera" would be much less of an issue if more porn was shot in a more natural, less invasive way. The trouble for a guy performing, as I gather, is in having to stop and start a bunch and stand in awkward positions for the camera etc. All of that stuff directors and cameramen do is largely unnecessary in the first place in my book. One thing I noticed about the Romance series is that they do use a lot of younger, handsome guys that one doesn't see as often in gonzo. They all perform quite well too, so it is odd they aren't working more often in gonzo. How much posters here reflect the average porn viewer, or the male audience in general, is a good question but one we will never know (how would one research such a thing considering how unreliable surveys on sexual behaviour are?). I would say that the raincoater contingent is the most vocal but not necessarily the most numerous. But then, they were the ones who definitely were purchasing or renting most of the porn again and again and so obviously have a powerful effect on the market. I wonder what the effect of downloading has on this though, as I would suspect that most of those trading on torrent and rapidshare are exactly those self-same raincoaters who were formerly the core purchasing audience for porn. @skyway re: Sweet Sinner... I can recommend Father Figure, four vignettes all with young female talent. London Keyes, April O'Neil, Katie St. Ives, and cover girl Melanie Rios. Nica Noelle's obsession with older/younger continues, but at least this one is squarely aimed at dirty old men. It has a slow and sensual scene (April), an intense and passionate scene (London), and a couple in between. (I disagree with your criticism here, I've found most Sweet Sinner films cover this range.) I've also found Nica's camera work and editing continues to improve in every new release. @BlackSix re: other directors who work this way... I also like Elegant Angels' William H and the more recent New Sensations Romance series. X-Art can be a little bit choppy and edited, but I still find myself enjoying the sensuality. Naughty America's Yesenias (another female director) also appears to be pulling in the right direction IMO (relatively more natural sex and full-body angles). Orgasms.xxx is my new favourite. I was pleased to see this Interview With Lew, The Man Behind The Camera on Luke Is Back. He shares many of the same opinions expressed here. It's a new site so needs the publicity. It happened with lesbian porn over the last 10 years, I feel a similar change finally happening with hetero porn.
River, thanks so much for being a fan of our products. We are so passionate about The Romance Series and love any feedback we get from fans. With regards to the use of condoms, we currently use them to promote safer sex among couples. Many of the couples in our stories are having sex for the first time, so we wanted to take a modern and realistic approach to those scenes. However, we'll continue to explore the condom/no-condom usage in our films. Not all of The Romance Series films have condom usage. "Dear Abby" actually did not, although you are correct, most of our films do use them. I hope that answers your question! Best.
Thanks for your reply. I really liked your movies i dont even treat them as XXX the actors are great story is good and my gosh the fantastic lightning in the scenes. EDIT - Are there any new movies planned out ? Edited by - river on 3/24/2012 5:19:57 AM
I'm not a condom fan but if it's properly justified in a featured movie I'm more than fine with it ,though you shoud begin from the wearing of it or even have it imposed by a woman or by a careful man , it is in fact very unlikely that people who met for the first time will do unprotected sex these days , could be though but if done purposely as a way to promote its usage in real life then do it. Of course a regular already established couple won't use it , the issue must be dealt with some reasoning . Keep up the good work. EDIT I noticed that you have actresses very much able to put added value to the passion in your movies , Zoe Voss for example but I can't recall any with Chastity Lynn which is pretty much at the same level , I saw her in Friends and Family 2 and in some Sweet Sinners' movies shes one of the very few very much able to pass fro a gonzo to a kink movie to a Sweet Sinner flick to a Jay Sin's gape oriented movie , always steadily at a high grade performance. Just a suggestion Edited by - Laurie Cameron Fan on 3/25/2012 9:46:06 AM
^They are in my opinion extremely good. The acting performances are high, the sex scenes are tastefully done, camera work is extremely good and the story lines are solid. They in my opinion would be good movies without the hardcore scenes, softcore would work but as a porn consumer hardcore images are preferable. A pet peeve of mine and it is not intended to criticise, the sex scenes do last on average about twenty minutes (I'd be happy with ten). I'm not a fan of long sex scenes in features unless the sex is strongly linked to the dialogue, like in Portrait of a Call Girl for example. The role playing scene was extremely long, but the sex and build up complemented the dialogue effortlessly, however I would have been happy for that scene to have been shorter, much shorter. I'll recommend Dear Abbey which is the one I enjoyed the most although everything I've seen in this series has been very good. Chances are that if you like one of these movies you'll probably like them all.
Sigh. I have been meaning for some time to check out New Sensations. You have just talked me out of it -- there doesn't exist a 20-minute sex scene that will hold my attention without recourse to the fast forward button.
^Oh God no! Not my intention, not my intention at all. :( I would bet by today's standards the scenes are short in comparison to most out there. Spare a thought for those who like gonzo, I watched a Mike Adriano scene with Remy Lacroix in Anal Bombshells, that one scene alone lasted an eye watering 1hr 20mins and 31secs.
I've seen the trailers for "The Friend Zone", "Lost And Found" and "With This Ring", and from what I can tell the acting does look decent in all of them. And I'm looking for that, and also decent storylines. I feel the same way as you about long sex scenes. And I noticed that Jessie Andrews is one of the stars of "With This Ring". After seeing the heavy-handed drama of POACG, it would be good to see her in more light-hearted fare.
^ If I recall well in With this Ring was a scene with Bobbi Star that was hot, brief and in which you almost can't see any genitals just Bobbi's hair , it could be placed in a mainstream movie maybe even without editing
I completely disagree about the length of scenes. Sorry folks, most of us buy porn for...sex. The sex is what it's all about. And if a scene is hot, I want it to go on for as long as possible. If I'm watching a mainstream movie, I want sex scenes to be super short. But that's becuase I'm paying for the story. Not so with porn. I really don't even care about the plot in the Romance movies. I just like how they generally do the sex scenes. It's also worth noting that since I started this thread, other companies have followed NS. Adam and Eve has done some really hot movies along these lines as well. Intimate Encounters 1 and 2, Tango to Romance and Cafe Amore were all really hot. Dreamzone has a romnce line starting and Juicy entertainment does as well. Not sure if those are any good as I have not seen them.
^ Right. Well, actually, I would argue that the feature format should treat the sex and narrative as one and the same. That rarely happens any more, but that's the ideal in my opinion. Why someone would watch a feature if the only thing that's important to them is hot sex that goes on for as long as possible is beyond me.
I like gonzo to a point, but I'm more interested in features because the story will keep me more interested in the movie (and get me to watch it again) than just watching sex scenes.
Hey! Yes, we have another one releasing called: Love, Marriage, and Other Bad Ideas. Here is a teaser: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ar0cqi_DrB4 It is available on April 30th!
^A very good movie, I really enjoy this series and the Friend Zone is good also, nice choices. If you have not seen it already give Dear Abbey a go, great cast as usual and strong performances also, absolutely loved Natasha Nice in this.
^I'm probably going to watch "The Friend Zone" next week. My fiancee also wants to see it. I haven't seen "Dear Abby", but I would like to check it out. Another one of the movies in this series that looks good is "Lost And Found". That one will most likely be my next "Romance Series" purchase.
I just watched "The Friend Zone". I really like this movie. It shows how far someone will go to get the one they love, and to finally get past the friend zone. It may have not been the best or the most honest way, but Kevin didn't want to lose Gina to another man, and Gina didn't realize the right man was there all along until the very end. I definitely recommend this movie.
I've seen too many videos that looked like soap operas, with more backstabbing and scheming than sex, including a New Sensations title (Interns). Is Romance more of that, or something else?
Hey Everybody! Sorry I am so late to respond to these great shout outs!!!! I am so glad you guys are enjoying The Romance Series movies. The Interns was actually not part of the Romance Series and was supposed to give that soapy feel. However, since Lost and Found, the majority of our features are really not soap-opera like. What were some of your favorites? Our newest features include: Torn The Submission of Emma Marx Love, Marriage and Other Bad Ideas The Friend Zone
