Seeing how far some people will push the envelope or aspire to the lowest common denominator. People are constantly looking for something different something new to stimulate the senses whether it's offensive porn or extremely erotic porn. The people who buy it, also like it. I'm one of them, for the most part. Times are changing, people like the rough stuff nowadays. A lot of the things you described are features of a lot of films made today. The "rough stuff" is becoming more and more standard in the market. Because it sells, because people like it. Also, what one once defined as rough and edgy back whenever, is becoming less and less so. It's desensitization. Evolution. It's just natural change. The sort of thing you like, I'm afraid to say is probably considered to be softcore by todays standards. People like different things though. It's obviously not for you. Some people just don't like the way things are heading, some do. But we should live and let live. Enough with the tolerating, we neeed more acceptance that people's tastes are different. "Morals in porn", don't even get me started. Why do they put beautiful women on the covers of rough sex films? Well... Because it only makes sense? Because it will make the product attractive? The same reasons any porn film has a beautiful woman on the cover. What are they supposed to put only unnatractive women on them? Why do the male actors think you purchased it for them? They probably don't. But for me both are import to a good scene. Once again, you've just described films that have stuff you don't like in it. So you place all the blame on the guy doing the scene? They both enjoy their part in the scene. When I think of the sort of thing you're looking for, I think softcore porn. Which is fine, you can like whatever you want. It just doesn't do it for me though. You're not here to judge. But oh, again with the double standards, right? Why not? I am just so sick of the double standard of when a guy says he likes the sort of thing you describe, therfor he's a horrible, terrible sick fucker. But when women admit to liking it, they get pardoned. It sure sounds like you're implying that people like me, hate women, and that's why we like it, right? Wrong. I don't hate women or any of that crap, and I won't get into that whole argument. I agree, I like it when they enjoy themselves too. I like it when THEY like it rough, when they enjoy the sort of things you described, and are into them. But I'm not going to define how someone can look when they are enjoying themselves. I doubt the industry is out to waste your money by tricking you into buying things. Common sense with tittles and descriptions can usually help you avoid picking up things you won't like. It doesn't hurt to do a little research first either. Funny thing, I sometimes get thrown off myself, and end up getting something soft and uninteresting. I think more people like the sort of thing you keep running into more than you think. But don't let it bother you. Shit happens and people like what they do/like. I'd be so happy if more movies showed a little more sensuality, and a little more of a caring attitude towards the woman's pleasure as well, and above all - more chemistry between the performers. If they want rough stuff, excellent, I'm all for it - but I think there needs to be a little more balance in each scene. As long as everyone looks like they're into it and enjoying it then I can appreciate it, but more often than not, to me it looks like not everyone is actually enjoying themselves. As an aside, I don't know if any performers are still reading this thread, but I'm curious - how does it work properly (i.e. no pain) - when no lube is used and there has been no clitoral stimulation, and very minor kissing/foreplay, before a big dick is inserted? Do most female porn stars just get wet because of the situation they're in, or is it generally a painful experience upon first insertion? I have a feeling that they like it. To them, it is a challenge, a kind of athleticism. For example, when Kylie posted on Myspace about taking an anal hook in her Kink.com debut, some ill-informed and ill-advised commentator said something about it being "a stunt just to satisfy men." Kylie, in her usual fortright and unambiguous manner, responded to that commentator by asking him/her something to the effect of "Do you think I would actually injure myself just for someone else's amusement? You must think me incredibly shallow. Did you ever think that maybe I might do that because I enjoy it?" On another occasion, Kylie mentioned something about an upcoming anal scene, and another commentator said something to the effect of "I hope you have plenty of muscle relaxants and painkillers," which did not go over well with Kylie. She responded "Maybe that's how you take it up the ass, but not me." Personally, I don't mind the rough stuff a la Corruption. To the best of my knowledge, performers do have safe words in the case that they feel uncomfortable, as well as "no" lists of things they do not want to perform. I do, however, wince when I hear female performers call each other "whore" or "slut" or when they self-refer in that fashion. That, for some reason, just does not sit well with me. As far as why there is such a demand for rough sex, I have an idea. Gil Reavill wrote about it in his book Smut. Basically, the civilian world is so oversaturated with sex everywhere that vanilla mom-and-pop sex is now mundane and commonplace. When you have the trashbag skanks of Sex and the City, The Hills and sundry other ka-ka from the vast septic tank called "reality TV" invading and so thoroughly insinuating themselves in the public sphere, dressed virtually butt nekkid, normal mish is about as stimulating as shitting and pissing...well, OK, just shitting then. In other words, it is part of the environment, of everyday life. The demand for rough sex is there because of the normalization of the open, unrestrained discussion of sex as if it was no different from mowing the lawn or cleaning out the storm drain. If this was still the era of Comstock (the Postal Inspector) and Eisenhower, normal mish porn would still be highly appealing because discussion of sex itself would have been so restricted that it would be virtually verboten. If you want more normal mish and less Corruption and Kink.com--I don't, but that's beside the point--simply lobby MTV and the networks to abort reality TV. And then lobby Hollywood to have as much nudity and sex in their movies as they did in the 1940's and 1950's. That way, normal mish will not be as common as picking your nose. It will have a mystery to it. Mystery attracts people. Seeing something that is no longer mysterious and that is as commonplace as wiping your ass is less luring. [Link] |
