It just seems that women have this deep, deep, phobia that they will wear it out or something. I just can not phathom that there is that much difference in libidos for all the reasons we read about. It's gotta be mostly pshychological. Why does only a small portion of the female population match mens libido's? WHY, Why and again why. Force yourself if you have to, sooner or later you will see that nothing at all will happen. It wont stretch it out of shape, nor will you loose your MOJO.
The short answer is yes, psychological factors are important. The long answer requires a detour into endocrinology.
A common myth is that males have more sexual desire because of their higher levels of testosterone. Testosterone is a hormone produced in the male's testes, but it's also produced in the female's adrenal glands. On average, more testosterone circulates in the blood of males than females. There is considerable overlap, however, and it's not all that unusual for a particular woman to have more testosterone than a typical man. Also, men who are castrated (i.e. their testes are removed for medical reasons) actually maintain normal levels of sexual interest and activity, even though their testosterone source is gone.
For women, the situation is different. Some research has shown that females are more sensitive to testosterone (and other androgens) than males. Low levels of these precious hormones can thus cause low desire in women, and in these cases, medical treatment can help.
It's probably accurate to say, however, that woman's social relationships generally have a stronger influence on her libido than her hormone levels. In other words, if you want good lovin' from your woman, you got to treat her right. And maybe it has nothing to do with you; women are hard workers, and often we're just tired or stressed from trying to meet everyone's expectations. Some women have also been traumatized, abused or just brought up to be "good girls." Every woman's a little different, and the psychological factors can be quite complex.
There have been times in my life when my libido has been high, and I've wanted sex once or even twice a day. There have also been times when my libido has been low, and I've only wanted sex once or twice per month. If you're in a long-term relationship, and your libidos are different, you eventually reach a compromise. Try to have a good sens of humor, and remember that masturbation is the first and best form of self-care.
There's not a thing wrong with sex every night, except when one partner doesn't want it that often. As Yoga Grrl pointed out, everyone's different, but I assure you it has nothing to do with any phobia about 'wearing it out'. I can honestly say that this has never entered my mind, nor has 'stretching it out of shape' ever been a factor in whether I feel horny or not. And I never let losing my MOJO influence these things, so perhaps it's something else that you're not seeing. If we don't want to make love, it's usually because well, we're not horny! We ARE a bit more complex in this area, and usually require more than badgering to get us in the mood. Besides, doing it every single night tends to make it too routine. Why not surprise her, and skip a night here and there? I don't think she is going to change, so you are just going to have to be more understanding. Masturbate more, it's good for you.

Sex is highly overrated and only good-looking or rich people can get it for free.
Since I´m not good looking nor rich, I hereby announce the retirement of me gregory pecker once and for all.
I have a male friend who's suffered many mishaps of the heart. A few years ago, he swore off sex and vowed to devote himself to his work.
Here's the problem. Whenever you make a resolution, it's a sign that you're ready for a bit of a challenge, and the Universe is usually willing to oblige. Very shortly after my friend made his pronouncement of celibacy, he found himself pursued by two new girlfriends. Be forewarned...
For every ugly guy in this world, there's an ugly gal, and everybody knows ugly gals make the best lovers. That's because we devote less attention to our looks and more attention to our extensive skills in bed.
Planet's gregory pecker has had more retirements than an aging porn star. I'm betting on 2 weeks, or whenever he gets horny again, whichever comes first.

No. Not even close to okay. After 33 years and only one steady g/f (for a MONTH!), I can pull my better Dana Carvey as G. Bush and say that this "never gonna happen".
Planet, I have a hard time believing that an intelligent, fun loving Brazilian who runs a magazine called Planet Sex cannot get laid. Even if you are ugly, which I doubt as well, like Yoga Grrl said, we all know that ugly guys are the best lovers. As for the rest, just do what guys do here - lie about it

But I AM fugly and I hardly get laid - at least, not for free. If you want to see my hideous fugly face, Click here.
Blondie, I'm in complete agreement with everything you wrote. There's nothing more boring than the same ole same old. And I've never worried about overstretching or depleting myself either. Muscles only get stronger with use!

Nah, it´s a dung beetle. Whose life is far more exciting than mine, I guess.
