That’s probably the reason why so many people wanted to direct for them.
Private has enjoyed such a huge, fast growth that they probably forgot a bit quickly the natural size of the market they were in and thought they could afford overpaying their directors because they distributed their movies themselves in most countries. The fact that the company was headed by Charles Prast for a while probably didn’t help, because from what I heard he had little to do with pornography. That’s how I see things but of course I’m not an insider. So if you tell me that this director is indeed a crook, it disappoints me because I’m a fan of his and I just watched one his movies tonight, but all I can do is believe you.
I read in a French (mainstream) newspaper a few months ago that Private had gone through some trouble lately with their bills, most notably in in Hungary, and that they were trying to get back to a sound basis. I don’t know to what extend all this is true, but it just looks excellent for you to grab that chance to be part of the upcoming Private generation and help refresh your part of that giant vessel.
Whatever is running in the background, Private remains an institution. You will sure bring them immediate profitability, and they will get you some more recognition.
