I'd look long and hard at the way the lanyard is attached to that toy. Speaking from personal experience, spincters can produce a surprising amount of grip/suction; more than enough to cause a cheaply made toy and its lanyard to part ways. The next thing you know, x-rays of your colon are showing up on the internet.

I do see two potential dangers of internal use:
1) the unit obviously splits apart. How well are the two halves joined? Certainly if it came apart inside you really would have problems getting it out (even vaginally).
2) The lanyard will probably not clean very easily and I can forsee fluids/solids potentially impacting in the threads making it hard to keep clean.

I don't have any experience with the pictured toy, but no, it wouldn't be my first choice for use in my highly valued (by me) butt. If it gets stuck, no air can circulate around it, so it may overheat if you're unable to "poop it out" in a timely fashion. If you're going to do it anyway, I suggest you at least drop it into a condom first, for sanitary purposes and also greater ease of retrieval.

For vaginal insertion, I find vibrators just don't do much for me in that area unless they're the type with swiveling motion.
