Freedom of expression is very American, and it's a concept that has really penetrated European culture these last 20 years, to the point that many French youth today think that freedom of expression is their Constitutional right. Lots of gay people in France are actually against the anti-homophobic laws, whihc is a stance I can understand. On the other hand, I read the Rev. Phelps's interview, and I wonder what the law is doing. [Link] |
