my favorite Holmes quote comes from Christoph Clark's Obsession, in which he plays a doctor/pimp giving advice to Tiffany Mynx, whose "husband" has left her…
"You ahr a beetch, ay slut-and-ay-horre…"
Mynx: "But I was a good woman!"
"Who duh feck wahnts ay guhd woo-men?"

It is a little complicated. Yes, I'm German, but I was born in Romania (Transylvania) as a Romanian citizen. I lived there until the age of 7 but never spoke the language. Than my parents managed to escape the communistic country with my sister and me in 1968.
I lived for many years in various parts of Germany until 1999. Now I travel a lot but spend most of my time in porn valley, California and in Budapest.

Steve Holmes must be featured with her now that he's back! Whitney Westgate would be visiting the west coast from October 20 to November 2, 2014.

So it looks like Steve is a big Transphobe. Basically going by Aubrey Kate's twitter they had a scene planned but he didn't know she is Trans so he got pretty horrible with her calling her "dude" and misgendering her, Aiden Starr and Dana Vespoli even had to get involved and banned him from set. Aubrey even shared a message when he said "she was pretending to be a girl".

Overall i've lost all respect from him and he seems pretty horrible, Aubrey is a beautiful person outside and inside so she doesn't deserve such disrespect. Natalie Mars, Joanna Angel and others are thankfully coming to her defence, haven't seen him comment but Small Hands is also standing by her with what Joanna has said.

But Aubrey isn't in the wrong for not stating in her Twitter bio that she's trans? or stating anywhere in the Twitter convo screenshot that Steve posted that she is trans? Steve may be wrong for misgendering her and disrespecting her (and from what it looks like, it was out of spite since Aubrey made a private incident public), but Aubrey is equally duplicitous it seems.

Looks like Steve Holmes will probably get blackballed as a result of this controversary regarding misgendering Aubrey Kate and once female talents start slandering you on social media then you will find it hard to find companies that will hire you. I can see where Steve is coming from but honestly he should just apologise to Aubrey and move on from this but he won't do that.

^^ She's not required to 'out' herself to every person she talks to because he was too lazy to bother and do a 2 second Google search on a person that he originally wanted to film with. And following that up with some pretty grotesque insults because she was (rightly) upset with him cancelling at the last minute and fleeing the scene without even an obligatory "sorry about the mix-up" doesn't make him look any better.

^ Not sure how this would result in him ending up permanently blackballed. There have been multiple male performers who have physical assault allegations (and some arrests) lodged against them, and within a 6-ish month span go right back to filming. Most likely he'll be less visible for a little bit, and not much else.

I was just thinking this.. It's funny how some of the female talent are vocal against Steve Holmes but they still friends with James Deen and they still continue to work with Deen despite there being sexual assault allegations against him. I now think Steve will be fine as in a few month if he shuts up about this and he stops treating this like a big deal.

^ Pretty sure those who are mentioned above are not 'okay' about working with Deen, Joanna Angel was a former longtime partner of Deen who accused him of abuse. As far as I know she has not shot with him in a long time.

Yes I'm aware that others are disgusted with Deen and haven't worked with him for a long time which is why I specifically used the word "some" (for example Dana Dearmond who's still friends with Deen and has continued to work with him while she has no problem berating Holmes). I was just pointing the hypocrisy and double standards in the porn industry but I admit I didn't articulate my point well. Anyway we can all agree that Steve Holmes is in the wrong and he needs to stay off social media for a while.

Aubrey is one off if not the biggest female Trans performer in porn, she just won another AVN. Its no secret she's Trans and her highlighted photo on Twitter is her completely naked with everything on show, one quick look on her Twitter and her photos tells you everything you need to know. Steve requested her and clearly didn't do his research, he's out of order and what he said to her was disgusting. Well anyway he's upset a lot of people, Dana DeArmond had some interesting stuff to say as well as others and i doubt Dana Vespoli and Aiden Starr will want to work with again considering their work with Trans porn and especially Aubrey.

Good for Steve for being honest with Aubrey who decided to put him on blast and make this private message public. Its not uncommon for performers to know who they are shooting with until they show up that day. He could of used better wording but he didnt

^ That's a rather bizarre read of the situation. She put him on "blast" because he said some rather bigoted garbage to her in the DM's in response to her showing pretty simple irritation at him privately for having her scene cancelled without any explanation (a scene which he requested her for specifically). The idea that she's somehow in the wrong for airing him out over his saying nasty & bigoted things simply because it happened in the DM's is just strange.

Didn't see this one coming to be honest. I believe any performer has the right to refuse to do scene with anyone for any reason. He seems to just have handled it like a complete clod. And is still doubling down.

He's whining about bullying and bringing up August Ames, dude you're 60 years old. Steer clear of online drama and thank your lucky stars you still get mainstream work at all.

aside from googling, if you were to simply look at her photos on her Twitter, you would never know she was trans. There's one nude photo, which is her pinned tweet, from which you still wouldn't be able to tell that she's trans and the rest are fully clothed everyday shots.

again, I'm not defending Steve's misgendering, but I'm of the opinion that if you haven't surgically transitioned to fully female, then I think that info should be divulged any time the prospect of sex comes up.

^ I agree in that such a practice is a good principle in general. But in this specific instance, all of the particulars of the situation don't really suggest to me that Aubrey did anything untoward. Especially when you consider that Steve requested her specifically for the scene, and she's one of the most high-profile trans performers in the industry. Big picture, this would have been a non-event if he hadn't decided to wind himself up into some weird "you're pretending to be a woman" shit just because he got embarrassed.

Let me get this straight, Holmes doesn't work with trans so he didn't know who's trans and who's not, their high or low profile doesn't matter , for example I don't watch lesbian porn , I have no idea who does that only , were I a professional performer and find a good looking performer on twitter I might try to hire a lez only performer only over her appearance on twitter , would you think she would inform me she does only lesbian scenes?
It's true Aubrey is well known among those trans porn consumer , I had no idea who she was up until this problem came out, anyway she's known as a trans but he's also well known as a straight vaginal only performer wouldn't be logical to tell him she doesn't have one? Shouldn't that be expected ?

Everybody knows Holmes doesn't do trans porn , I'm not excusing his wording but I think he felt trapped , I mean how did he find out her profile? Who pointed her out to him?

^They had swapped DM's prior to the scene being scheduled, and he requested the pairing for the scene in question. Once he realized she was trans, he cancelled right before filming and took off without saying two words to her. Him being a straight performer who doesn't want to shoot with trans stars wasn't what caused the dust-up. It was that he wasted her day without any kind of apology, and then decided to make it worse by accusing her of being deceptive and just leaning right into transphobic shit because he got embarrassed (which is then why their conflict became public).

Also, a number of male performers currently shoot with trans talent now. If they were flirting and he specified that he wanted to shoot with Aubrey (then got the pairing scheduled), it's entirely reasonable for Aubrey to assume that he was aware of who he was setting up a scene with. Natalie Mars spoke about this as well, trans performers don't care who does and doesn't want to have sex with trans talent. But they do care (like any reasonable person should) if they get treated with demeaning & bigoted attitudes.

But it wasn the directors who told him to leave quietly without saying anything to her. I'm sorry but i took a look at her twitter and had no idea she was trans. Hand to bible, I would've sworn she was a female just like Steve did. I see no harm in what he did, and I don't expect him to get "cancelled" over it.

^There are multiple tweets & retweets on her page that identify her as being trans talent. And again, he specifically requested the pairing after the two of them chatted so he can't claim that he was unfairly blindsided. Lastly, just because you don't see the issue in him saying overtly bigoted things like calling her a "he/she" and "you're a dude pretending to be a woman" doesn't mean that other people are going to feel the same way.

It is like saying every one on social media should know who Kylie Jenner and Elon Musk are, because they are so popular.

And pretty sure its rare for a performer to do any research before shooting with a new performer. What do you want them to research? How deep their pussy is and how big his dick is?

^ Actually most of the performers on that Twitter thread pointed out that it is very much the norm to do a quick Google search to at least see what the person looks like if they're scheduled to shoot with them. And again, He requested that exact person for the scene . There was no "hey can you shoot with this random person on short notice", he showed interest in filming with her, he swapped messages with her through a platform in which he could have clearly seen she was trans if he'd bothered to scroll on her page. The idea that he is somehow just being unfairly blindsided and doesn't know what to do is so absurd on its face that I simply don't believe that defense is being lobbed in good-faith.

^ Because he had no idea she is trans.

Well he already knew what she looks like so no need to google search for what. Other than that I have no idea why would someone google search their partner? What exactly are they expecting to find...

Looking at all the twitter drama, it appears that even the booking information he received did not make any mention of trans instead it was "B-G-G". The only reasoning in the info that is being used against Steve is "he didn't do research". But like many are saying I also had no idea this is TS performer and wouldn't have known by looking at the twitter handle. I don't defend whatever Holmes said later in the twitter beef but I don't believe he was the screw-up in this miscommunication.

^^Well he obviously requested the scene with her off her profile photo alone. I'm not a performer so I can't speak to what each of their reasons are, but a basic assumption would be that if you're going to have sex with someone on camera you probably want to a) see more than just a Twitter photo, and b) want to see what they actually look like during a performance. At any rate, like I've repeated ad-nauseum: The controversy wasn't him cancelling a scene because he didn't want to shoot with trans talent. The controversy was him deciding to accuse her of being deceptive, and then doubling down on it with a bunch of bigoted comments. Should she have simply ignored him for good after he cancelled their scene at the last minute? Maybe, but I doubt anyone would respond with anything but irritation at having a paycheck blown at the last second due to somebody else's actions.

I believe this is just a case of miscommunication as the producer or director of this scene could have inform him that the person he's working with is a tran as he genuinely thought that the scene was a simple BGG scene.

But at the same time he spoken to Aubrey on the DM and he seemed eager in working with her on her based on their interaction on the dm, also it seemed like this scene was planned for months so Steve had all the time in the world to do further research on Aubrey (like scroll her Twitter or Pornhub account). Steve should have personally apologise to her for the misunderstanding but instead he's just misgendering her which is making this even more worse.

I think y'all are missing the big issue. It isn't whether Steve knew or didn't know that Aubrey was transgendered, whether he did his homework on her or not. It is the fact he then opted to misgender her on purpose. That's where the big issue lies. That was a choice he made to put her down. That is what is unacceptable.

It is not certain that had he not made those comments, that he wouldn't have gotten any shit for it. Porn has a very unforgiving online mob and this appears to be the same one that attacked August Ames. I think he was still gonna catch a shitstorm regardless but he should have just stayed silent on the matter.

That was the point I was making when I mentioned that he seemed more interested in misgendering her than apologising.

He should have just either apologise or like you said just remained silent. I expect the the outrage to go away in a couple of days if he shuts up about it on Twitter.

The big issue here isn't that he didn't want to film with her its that he insulted her as well, saying "she's pretending to be a girl" is hateful speech and is hurtful for someone like her. I don't think Aubrey cares if a performer doesn't want to do Trans scenes, she gets it and she may have been understanding if he said sorry i don't do Trans scenes and left its the more fact he insulted her in a very hateful way.

Well then talk about that. Why do I keep seeing on here and twitter comments along the lines that he shouldn't have said no to have sex with her and he should have known who she was, or should have done research using at least 3 different search engines made in 3 different countries.

well I could say something similar...that she is the one who approached him for sex/scene so its her responsibility to make sure he knew that she was trans.

How would you feel if a trans person approcahed you in a club and you started making out only to find minuted later that she is trans?? Dont you think she should have told you before making out that she is trans??

Not unless you feel every single person on the face of the earth should identify their gender prior to making out with someone. Did Steve Holmes tell her that he identifies as male? If not, shouldn't he have as well?

But that's the point, he's not only getting shit for the specific comments he's getting shit for everything even though he's not to blame for everything in this.

And you're assuming that the porn twitter mob is righteous when we already know that this same mob has gotten one performer to kill herself through relentless harrassment. This is the last group that should get the benefit of the doubt. Steve Holmes was gonna catch a shitstorm regardless and many are hiding behind the specific comments he made later. Simply refusing to work with a TS is enough for them to attack.

Exactly, it isn't about if he doesn't want to have sex with a trans woman but talking like a shithead.

One can claim that the 'mobs' would have come after hin regardless but I doubt they'd have much traction.

Imagine if a performer called a black performer racist insults in public, what would the reaction be?

This makes me sad because I really liked Steve Holmes. I think he's one of the better male talents. Admittedly he's not what he used to be even 5 years ago let alone 10 or 15, but he's still great. With that in mind (and the fact that he's 60 years old now), his career was probably nearing it's end anyway, but (if this is the end for him) he should've gone out with his respect and dignity intact instead of flushing it all down the toilet. That's the main point, he did this to himself. I can somewhat sympathize with Steve initially because it does look like a lack of communication caused all this trouble to start up (although it could be argued he should've done his due diligence and researched who Aubrey is if he didn't know her and wanted to work with her). As soon as I saw he made those transphobic comments however (and that's exactly what they are), all my sympathy evaporated. He may have only made those comments in the heat of the moment because he was frustrated and felt misled, but the fact that he doubled down and (to the best of my knowledge) still hasn't apologized speaks volumes.

I struggle to see him coming back from this tbh because most of the top female talent working today have all strongly condemned him for his comments. Unless he gives a genuine apology, I think he's done for the most part. People bring up James Deen and yeah he does still work these days, but it pales in comparison to how prolific he was pre allegations. Perhaps in time the same will happen to Steve, but I don't think that would paint the industry in a very good light. If Steve insists to maintain his current position on the matter, there need to be some serious repercussions for him. In any case, unless Steve offers a genuine apology, his career will never be the same.

I really don't get all the drama. They scheduled a shoot without him knowing she's trans and her telling him while planing for the shoot. When he arrived and found out, he was pissed, because he doesn't do trans (which btw I think he has every right to) and considered it a waste of his time. When he left she was pissed, because it was a waste of her time. Even if they exchanged a few harsh words afterwards, I'd expect a grown adult to just accept there was a misunderstanding and move on. But I guess there are no grown-ups on social media.

The Deen comparison is a stretch. Deen still works despite having a dozen or so credible accounts of sexual assault on his ledger. Steve just stepped in it by being clueless and shitty online and refusing to back off.

The producers are very much at fault here if they didn't make the nature of the shoot clear.
