He didn't flake. He didn't know he was booked for a TS scene, of which he should have been made aware. He tried to be professional about it and apologize to Aubrey, but the producers wouldn't let him. Apparently they failed to inform her of that as well. Seems to be a common theme here with the producers not doing their job, but everyone is focused on Steve.
Now don't get me wrong. Steve absolutely should not have attacked her gender identity. But it seems to me that most, if not all, of this would have been avoided had the producers done their job correctly. However you and I are apparently going to disagree that picking a fight on twitter, even going as far as to publicly challenge his manhood, was a reasonable action on Aubrey's part. I feel it was completely unprofessional.

^It seems to me that from Aubrey's perspective, Steve flaked, and that is why she criticized him. Why do you believe that she should have kept silent?
Aubrey had a shoot scheduled. She got ready and showed up. Her would-be scene partner, who had not expressed any misgivings about working with her beforehand, suddenly refused to perform, so she called him out. That Aubrey was mistaken about Steve choosing not to explain himself in person, doesn't detract from the overall appropriateness of her choice to criticize him for wasting everyone's time.
I continue to find it weird that neither Dana or Aiden said anything to Steve beforehand, not because they were obligated to but because it was completely out of the ordinary for Steve to shoot with a transperson.
^Criticizing is one thing. Criticizing when you don't have all the facts is another thing. And then directing your tweet directly @ someone in a confrontational manner is yet another thing.

^^^Aubrey didn't know that she didn't have all of the facts.
Aubrey tweeted directly at Steve in a confrontational manner because she believed that he was to blame for the shoot she had prepared for and showed up for not taking place.
Pardon my ignorance, but I actually didn't know that in 2021 we were still having such discussions. And in the general public, let alone on a porn forum.
^ It's clear as day that bodily autonomy is still questioned and threatened frequently when performers are harassed and abused for changes to their appearance but that's for another topic.
I think many on here are missing the big major issue and that is he was transphobic to her and insulted her in a way what is just as bad as calling a black person the N word. Its irreverent if he knew or not she was Trans its how he acted after. Its also worth noting we don't really know how he acted on set on the day, he says Aiden and Dana wouldn't let him speak to Aubrey but it could be he was kicking off about it on the day and they didn't want him upsetting her so told him to stay away, he's clearly transphobic going by his comments so its easy to assume he wasn't cool and calm about it on the day. Maybe yes Aubrey shouldn't have assumed he knew but then you can't blame her for thinking he looked her up beforehand, she's the most mainstream Trans star out there and has just come off another AVN win so you can't blame her for thinking he was aware. Having followed Aubrey for years and see who she is beyond porn i don't think she any issues with male or female stars not wanting to do Trans porn, her issue is when they insult her and be nasty about her being Trans.
It's rather rich to call someone ignorant when you failed to understand the context of their comment. The comparison is not in the people but the inhumane ways people of either demographic have seen their humanity denied by others.
They aren't missing it. They don't care. This has been pointed out, time and time again, yet his "defense team" here still tries to engineer a way to make her wrong. What's worse is a good segment of his "defense team" here has been kicked out of the thread for transphobic comments -- which sadly indicates it is worse than just not caring for most of them.
^I do care and I have been pretty adamant in that he's in the wrong for his comments, even when you take into account that he was provoked into a confrontation. He's still wrong. I just believe that he's not the only person who did wrong in this situation, and there is a large group of people who seem to want to be deliberately obtuse about that point.
^ Ramon Nomar and Xander Corvus have both done scenes with trans people this year when they hadn't before, and Sean Michaels did so a few years back. So male performers have done these scenes when they hadn't previously. Also, in her initial text exchanges with Steve asking him if he wanted to be involved, she did seem a little surprised he said yes, which would indicate she was aware that he hadn't done such scenes before.
No, he and he alone purposely misgendered her. No one else misgendered her. Him. That is what is the issue. There is a shrinking group of people that are being deliberately obtuse about that and trying to create ways to share the blame. No matter how you try to share the blame, he and he alone purposely misgendered her. He could have been completely lied to and opted to be a good human being and not to misgender her on purpose. There is a complete difference between being upset over a situation, and being a transphobic piece of trash.
MOD: Why some people are so immature that they have to have their account deactivated is beyond me. However, your extremely transphobic statement has ended your time here.
