I wonder after seeing old Euro Angel Hardball 8: There is a scene with 2 girls, one of them wearing a blue wig. She gets a nice dp and facial. I could swear I have seen the same scene in my Danish license dvd of <Rocco Meets an American Angel in Paris>!
It is a good scene, but why put it in two completely different films?

shameless - sorry I can't answer your question.

Once another country licenses US movies, we often don't know what they do to the movie.

Hi,
Like Tricia said ... once licensed the movie can be butchered like you wouldn´t believe. I recall a few companies that used to cut all movies >90 minutes so they can put those scenes into new tapes. And that´s why i only buy/rent/whatever original content ! (even though it´s hard to get sometimnes)

Have you ever seen dubbed porn? It is the worst thing in the world. It doesn't matter if the action is good, if the sound doesn't match. Quite comedic actually.

Hi,
That´s another reason i stopped going to our local videostores ... it´s too timeconsuming to find the few original Language movies.

Why not?

Wouldn't EA (or anyone else) want control over their product whether it was being watched by me in NJ or Peter in Holland?

I would have thought the licensing agreements would be stricter than I guess they are; allowing for dubbing or subtitling only, but keeping the running time, order, etc. intact.

Odd.
