As a matter of fact I find completely unacceptably when companed with other DVD from a topnotch company like Evil Angel. Roccos camera equipment seem to have been stuck in the late 90. Just take a look at the visual quality made by Jules Jordan with sharp crisp pictures and with full saturated colors to see the difference. You are actually able to make almost perfect still-captures form a JJ DVD, and that probably why JJ is the one the most pirated directors on the net. Try to make a still capture form a Rocco DVD, and you end up with a blurry mess. Unfortunately it is not getting any better. For instance take a look at the Animal Trainer 10 DVD at around 18min 30 sec, and you will see that camera lens is totally scratched, and the picture is blurry and seem constantly slightly out of focus. That camera should have been thrown out a long time a go! Maybe the final screw up happens in a analog and outdated editing suite? I don't know what kind of camera and editing equipment Rocco is using, but it is time to make an upgrade to a fully digital production setup. Some would call it "visual style" and "artistic freedom", I would call it out of focus and below todays standards. I wonder what the DVD prodction guys at Evil Angel calls it? Why do I care? Because I am a huge Rocco fan. I think he is still the best performer/director in the industry, and I want the best from the best. Topic Moved by - DenverDon on Mar 23 2003  [Link] |
