Hi Folks

Can anyone help.

In my collection I have a lot of South American/French and German movies.

Is there an app or website that can translate to English language or subtitle.

So many great movies but would be cool to really know what they are saying.

Nope, one could try and use Google translate but it produces gibberish. Some fans of exploitation films have done their own fansubs but I've never heard of anyone doing it for Europorn unfortunately except for some Scandinavian softcore films.

Hello,

This question is old, but since people seem still active and the question always has interest, I send this reply.

I create subtitles for adult movies, and share them on AVSubtitles.com

The site is a community site for people who write and/or need subtitles, for understanding, translation, etc.
All languages are available, and the movies depends on each others tastes (Modern porn, Vintage, JAV, ... even documentaries).

I add some screenshots of subtitles I've done.

Also it's pretty easy to do locally with AI now, the Whisper project is very easy to install and use, have got some very good results.

Yes, Whisper is really a game changer. I'm hearing impaired, and without it I would be unable to create subtitles.
It improves itself very fast, but so far there's still 2 problems:

1) It needs computer with good GPU. I can't do it with my own computer (unless I want to change it into a real toaster :)

2) Results vary a lot. Especially with Vintage or Asian movies. So the human fixes are still needed.

That being said, most of subtitles writers (including me) use Whisper to create a first draft. And for sure, one day it could make subtitles alone.
Meanwhile, some people around the world are here to help :)

^ That's great and yes depending on the material it can vary with results. I use it mainly for translations of BTS and Interview scenes where it can work quite well as there is a deccnet amout of coverdsation going on, however when there is a period of silence it sometimes fills in the gaps itself :-), also for translations it is quite literal cannot pick up the slang being used so manual editing is certaily required to get the best result.
