I'd like to get a tablet. I have an inexpensive one (Android OS) but it's extremely flakey. This time I'd prefer to spend more money and get a good one.
I still want an Android OS. I'm not a big fan of Apple products.
Any suggestions on a moderately priced tablet? I'm eyeing a Samsung Galaxy Tab E for about $150 on Amazon.

Amazon is practically giving the Fire 8 tablets away at $49.99 (with "special offers", i.e., they put product ads on the lock screen). Out of the box, it's crippled to try to make it strictly an Amazon products and services consumption device, but it's really easy to install the Google Play Store on it, after which you can put all the regular Android apps you want on it and use it more or less like you'd use any Android tablet. Instructions can easily be found online. It has enough RAM and a pretty good screen, decent battery, and you can put a big microSD card in it if you want to load it up with movies etc.
