I'm seriously thinking of getting a tablet, and looking towards the 10" size rather than the 7". It'll probably be more for play (movies and games than work, but I do plan on doing a bit of office type stuff on it. I'm currently thinking about the ASUS Infinity, as I like the thought of 64GB over 32GB, but have heard great things about the Nexus 10 as well. Thoughts and experiences?

The tablet market is DOMINATED by Apple for a reason, but if you only want to play movies, they'll probably all work. Unless you're not into video (then why be on ADT) more memory is ALWAYS important. I have 64 and would like to have more.

Excellent marketing doesn't make something a superior product.

If I had an i-anything I'd get the iPad, but we're pretty well set up for android.
...and a significantly higher priced product most of the time while pulling shit like suing other companies due to having rounded corners is a very good way to make sure I go to your competition. I'm completely in the dark how Microsoft is "evil" while Apple is "good"...

I'm thinking about getting an iPad mini. It isn't in the budget right this minute, but sometime in the next few months.

To suggest they dominate the market because consumers are too stupid to recognize crappy products doesn't seem very objective.
I understand there's a lot of love/hate around Apple products. My experience is they make quality products that work. That's not to say others don't, and that I like everything their products do, but they started an entirely new market that has had a major negative impact on more traditional computer sales. I think it's hard to appreciate the tablet experience until you live with the product and begin to understand how it changes how you do things. Google has been successful with their product, but if the iPad were a separate business, it would be in the Fortune 100 world wide.
There are lots of reasons to buy one product over another and the iPad isn't for everyone, but the reality is it dominates the market and not because of slick marketing.

I picked up one of the little Nexus 7 tablets a little over a month ago and am very happy with it. WiFi only, but I'm really amazed at how much I use it.

MS is evil because of Windows 8 and Chris Matthews. But Apple is no better.

My Nexus 7 survived a nearly six foot drop onto a ceramic tile floor. It popped the back part of the way off, but I re-positioned what I assume was the battery, snapped the back back on, and all appears well. Not a scratch on it. The podcast I was playing at the time didn't even stop.
