I don't hate it or anything, it's just that I never played it as a kid, and I can't really get into it. One of my roommates is nuts for the Jays though, so I watch a bit with her. I played hockey, basketball, soccer... so those I can get into more. I like football too, even though I never played. I watch the Argos a bit, but this year I actually haven't seen many games. My other favourite team is the Flames, so I'm quite partial to guys who've had good careers with both teams. Lanny McDonald, Dougie Gilmour, Gary Roberts... love 'em all. I gotta say I love Sundin too, even though the last several months have been torture to my soul because of him. You have to love Wendel of course... and Tie Domi, Darcy Tucker; these guys are the spirit of the Leafs. But growing up, the player who probably had the most influence on me, because of both the time period, and because I was a fast-skating defenseman who loved to jump up into the play, would have to be Borje Salming. You gotta respect that he stayed with the Leafs for all those years when they were fighting Minnesota for last place in the league. Yeah, I guess I gotta go with Borje Salming. (I'm actually kinda surprised by my answer. Before thinking about it for a bit, I was leaning towards saying Wendel or Dougie.) What about you? Who's your favourite Leaf? [Link]

When he played, he was a tough guy who could check and fight (don't remember seeing him lose a fight) and he was able to score and be on the top line. I also like Mats Sundin, Doug Gilmour, Vince Damphousse and Felix Potvin. Do you remember the 1992/1993 Leafs playoffs? Also, out of curiosity, how old are you about? I'm 29 (soon 30).
