I rejoined Exploited College Girls which includes Back Room Casting Couch and BBC Surprise. ExCoGi and BRCC share a user interface but the web design of BBC Surprise is the same as used by Hookup Hotshot, See Him Fuck, and Hussie Pass.

I had no issues downloading from ExCoGi and BRCC but BBC Surprise is doing something weird.

I use Internet Download Manager unless the site doesn't allow it, and there is no indication that BBCS doesn't allow it. I right click to download a file and I have IDM configured to download from eight sources (not the right term, but I don't know what is. Nodes?). That goes normally until about 80% of the file is downloaded and then it instantly drops to 20% downloaded and the download goes from eight "nodes" down to one. But it does seem to download, just at a slower speed.

Today I went to watch some of the scenes I downloaded and they seem to be mostly normal but they aren't. I play the videos on VLC and if I try to scrub forward at the beginning it locks up and won't restart. But the weird thing is that if I let the scene play for several minutes, it does seem to allow scrubbing. It's as if the file is being buffered somewhere.

While the scene will allow scrubbing after it plays for a few minutes, it doesn't look normal. If I scrub a normal file ahead with VLC, it just skips to the point I select. With the BBCS scenes, it gets weirdly pixilated for a couple of seconds before it stabilizes.

The specs on these files are also weird. While the overall files size is, for example, 3 GB, and the frame specs are normal (1280 x 720), the data rate is shown as being 2 kb/s and the overall bitrate is shown as 130 kb/s. I don't really understand those numbers, but I understand them well enough to know that they aren't normal. A 720p file should have a bitrate of over 3000 kb/s and a data rate around the same.

I then disabled IDM and just used Chrome to download. While the download doesn't reset at 80%, I still get the same data and bit rates, and the same inability to scrub forward until the scene plays for a while.

I checked the BBCS scenes I have from previous memberships on an external drive and those are all fine. They have normal rates and will scrub immediately.

I went to the site to see if this was something new, and I went to download a scene from a couple of years ago. I opted to use Chrome to download, and the download speed was so slow that it would have taken 30 minutes to download a 2.5 GB file. I then re-enabled IDM and it did that 80% thing again but it did download it much faster. But even with the older file (that is a duplicate of one in my collection), it needs to play for a while before it will scrub forward and it has the wonky file rates.

One other possible clue is that when I go to download either with or without IDM, the first thing that happens is a blank white page opens in a new tab for a few seconds and then disappears as soon as the download starts.

Does anyone have an idea what's going on? Are others experiencing this? I'm not going to bother contacting support as I have no expectation that they'd offer any help.

Thanks!

I ain't subscribed but looks like your downloads are getting corrupted? Did you try the basic solutions - changing browsers, dns and vpn? If that doesn't work try removing browser cache, flushing dns(/flushdns on cmd) ,forget and reconnect network and retry downloading.

^ Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try the ones that are within my skill level and with any luck that will work. I've had problems with other sites that use this specific platform (Hookup Hotshot, See Him Fuck, and Hussie Pass) as well, but not this specific problem. I don't have problems with any other sites.

I'll check these solutions and let you know how it goes.

^^ & ^ I believe the command is "ipconfig /flushdns". @rear admiral - If you're not familiar with running command-line commands, here's the steps:

(I'm still on Windows 10, so if you're on another version, your steps might be a bit different. Or just google "windows version_number run command prompt".)

1. Click the "Type here to search" box in the lower left of your screen.
2. Type "cmd". A list of items will appear. Assuming that "Command Prompt" is highlighted, just press Return. If it's not highlighted, click "Command Prompt". The Command Prompt window will appear.
3. Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press Return.
4. Type "exit" and press Return. This will close the Command Prompt.

I appreciate the assistance with this.

Following your advice and directions, here's what I did:

- I cleared the browser history of anything related to BBC Surprise.
- I ran the "ipconfig /flushdns" command.
- I went to Chrome and tried downloading with IDM and the problem remained.
- I tried downloading through Chrome and not using IDM. The results were the same.
- I closed Chrome and switched to MS Edge.
- I tried downloading through Edge and the results were the same.

I figured that the problem remained because no matter what I do, there is that new tab of a blank screen that pops up for a second.

The files I downloaded still showed those absurdly low rates.

I don't know much about VPNs so I haven't attempted that. Isn't it likely that the site itself is the problem? I may contact support and see if they respond with something useful, though I won't get my hopes up.

Thanks again!

I'm gonna put on my A-Hole cap on for a second here....

DO NOT EVER USE MULTIPLE DOWNLOAD SOURCES!

You are gang-banging the file hosting server with every sort of depraved sex-act you can think of, all at once. Your account downloads may be flagged by the host network security software and you could get banned. Do one download at a time, from one source, always. Also, some sites do allow download managers and will state that in the FAQ/Support section, but many do not and have their hosting provider configured to counter such software, so that might be a reason for your funky files. Some web browser updates can also bork downloading protocols, so check around to see if there's anything going on with the latest version of whatever browser you are using.

My advice is to try a ping-test from your PC to the various porn websites you are using and see what the stats/network hops are like, then you can at least have some info to use in figuring out a next step.

^ You aren't being an a-hole at all. Keep in mind though that I have the technical prowess of a gerbil so while I'm using a download manager, I didn't (and don't) intend to break any rules. Also, I never download more than one file at a time. I may use IDM to queue up a few downloads but I have it configured to only download one file at a time. Ever since I started using IDM years ago, I figured that flooding the server was a dick move.

On a thread here, a site owner commented that he bans mass downloaders - people doing a site rip intending to share the scenes on a pirate site. I read that and asked him a question: I use a download manager and I downloaded almost everything from his site in the first couple of days of my membership not because I was stealing everything he had with the plan of sharing them, but because I liked his stuff. It was a site that featured 18-20 year old petite models, which is the dead centre of my interests. He told me that what I was doing wasn't an issue, nor was using IDM. He said that when someone does a site rip, it's obvious, as opposed to someone like me who is just a horny old pervert using a download manager.

The thing about my issue with BBC Surprise is that even when I disabled IDM and downloaded using the browser, I had the same problem. I'm now convinced that the problem was on the site and not anything I was doing or using. I say that because I was on the site a few days ago and some of the corrupted files downloaded and played normally. Not all of the corrupted ones, but some. The fact that some were fixed and some weren't may have been a sign that the site knew of the problem (I emailed them but didn't hear back) and may have been fixing the files.

I logged on again today as I still had about 15 corrupted files. Sure enough, all of those are now fixed too. I downloaded all of them using IDM without any issues and all play properly now.

I really think the issue was with the site.

As for IDM, I only download one file at a time and it's almost unheard of that I have any issues. The only site I can think of where I can't use IDM is Team Skeet.

Thanks for weighing in. I appreciate any advice even if most of the tech stuff goes over my head.

^ Given the symptoms you've described, the problem almost had to be with the video files on the BBC Surprise website. It's highly unlikely you were doing anything wrong. I admit I have zero insight into the BBC Surprise website, but after working as a programmer for almost 40 years, you learn a thing or two. And how certain symptoms indicate certain problems.

I've seen it before with web sites where I notify them of a problem. They never acknowledge it, but lo and behold, a few days later the problem disappeared.

^ I have no technical abilities but it seems to me that the problem was internal to the site since it was fixed. I likely wasn't the only member who contacted them to report the problem.

I appreciate your comments on this.
