Some of the original problems were fixed, but other problems started happening after service. I'm going to take my player back in to Panasonic, but I'm definitely going to get another DVD player ASAP. Two porns? shit But I gotta be very honest with you..2109 and 3109 does not play Azz Good Azz It Getz which is black straight Sunshine Porn. My brother-in-law's 2109 and my 3109 are not upgraded..so maybe it's because of that? But these players play every title out there right now. Just not the 2 out of the millions. |

For example, the HTF page on Panasonic players lists a number of titles which are known to have problems with those players. I have never had any problems with those titles. Even if there is a clear cut case of a glitch that affects all players of a certain manufacturer (or other quality control problem, such as incorrect menu linking), I've found only a handful of studios that really seem to care. I suspect that they're more concerned about A.) getting the title to the street as fast as possible and B.) doing it as cheaply as possible. Neither of those priorities encourage thorough quality assurance or specs compliant mastering & duplication. Unlike the mainstream industry, the feedback loop to the studios aren't developed in adult. There aren't major retailers that buy thousands of units of a particular title that will give the studio hell for releasing a bad disc. The production runs are much smaller, meaning that there are fewer people to encounter incompatabilities. And, I think since it's adult, there are fewer people that are willing to speak up. Hopefully, ADT will help change that! Saki ------------------ |

Robocop for example at the point of layer switch it used to pixelate. But now it plays fine. I think glitches in systems will be a way of life. Hopefully as time goes on they won't be so prevalent. Lets just hope studios are paying attention. Gojira54 |

Even more baffling is that in all cases, problematic discs (including ones that will not play at all on my Panasonic) play fine on their systems. And when I borrow their copies of the same title, they play fine on mine. Having talked to quite a few Panasonic owners, all point to either old firmware or buggy optical pickup units, not specific title incompatabilities. I tend to blame Panasonic since there are an excessive number of problems reported with those two models. I've already decided to buy a more reliable DVD player...just a matter of picking one out. It'll probably be a 2000 Pioneer model. Saki ------------------ [url=455144]My Adult DVD List</A (Updated 2/2/00) | [url=455145]My Adult DVD Reviews</A |
