This disc cut the most famous scene. The scene containing Marilyn and John Holmes. I have the Videotape release of this movie, and the scene is whole on the video tape. They include the scene but cut it at the anal part. And what an amazing scene that is. Any girl who can take John up the ass amazing. Sorry for venting but this is unacceptable. Is this what we get to look forward to the future of DVD? Could you imagine the Scene in New Wave Hookers with Ginger Lynn being cut? I cant and just can't imagine what Icandy was thinking. I really enjoyed their release of Instaible. Uncut. If anyone has seen this please let me know if this is the way it was original released in the Theatre's. Yes Porno's actually shown on the Big screen and you didnt have to put in quarters to watch it. The quailty of the video is outstanding. Not much in the way of extras. Only 2 Trailers some pictures. I hadn't seen the VHS version but I had read a review. They said that that was the video footage they got. The cutting was certainly not intentional on iCandy's part. That's the only reason I gave Up 'n Coming a 4 instead of a 5.  [Link] |

I only give it a 3.5 on a scale of 1 to 5. I hope ICandy checks its prints against existing prints, to make sure they don't let this happen again. I was impressed with their first release Insatiable. I was disappointed in the extras on Up N Coming. They were almost the exact same thing on Insatiable. Studios should atleast attempt to include different materials on different discs. I can only say this if you are really interested in the disc because of the Chambers/Holmes scene avoid it then. If not enjoy an above average offering from I-candy. Gojira54 [Link] |

The scenes with Traci Lords were the hottest on the tape by far but it still sells (without her scenes) pretty well today. Those scenes were cut when it was revealed to the Meese Commission that Lords' was under the age of consent when she made most of her movies. Any original copies of the movie would be considered child pornography and *very* dangerous to own. (felony) [Link] |

I don't think they aquired the ownership rights to the original footage. Up 'n Coming has most likely had a quite a few owners since its original release. Somewhere along the line the final scene must have gotten damaged or removed. This hardly excuses the fact that the scene is not there. This is akin to releasing The Empire Strikes Back on DVD and cutting the section where we learn that Darth is Luke's father. It wouldn't be such a big issue if an average scene somewhere in the middle of the movie were cut short. This is the final scene with THE top performers of the day (possibly some of the best performers of all time) and is a serious let down. I had not seen Up 'n Coming prior to the DVD release. I didn't know what was missing from the final seen but I definitely could tell something wasn't right. Even with that said I still enjoyed the movie. It gave me a much greater appreciation for Marilyn and the classics. [Link] |

A good ten minutes of the final orgy scene is still there. (I think it's about 10 minutes but I didn't time it so please don't crucify me if I'm off a little.) The only part of the scene that is missing is the last few minutes where John gives it to Marilyn in the ass. - Editted to fix spelling. This final scene is one of my top five best scenes ever (and I've seen a LOT) and I couldn't believe it when it ended before the big finale. I even went back to listen to the Gloria Leonard commentary to see if she said anything about it, but she didn't. I must say the picture and sound quality is very good, but without this final scene intact, it's just not the same. By the way, I have a second-gen VHS copy of the final, unedited scene if Drew or anyone wants to see what is undoubtedly one of the finest scenes in adult filmdom. [Link] |
