I have all of them on DVD. Won them in a film quiz -- a regular film quiz. Too bad they are all Danish language only.
If porn and mainstream ever came close, this handful of films are it, together with some other Danish productions from that time. For instance, the Sengekant series was mostly softcore, IIRC, but at least one installment did contain some hardcore action: [ invalid url ] (apparently this title was released in the US on cable as Come To My Bedside, I assume in a soft version).

Walter, was this series hardcore? I saw the VXP release of Danish Pastries (I jomfruens tegn) which I enjoyed and figured I would check out some of the other tegn entries even though they were all by a different director. I picked up I tyrens tegn (Scanbox release titled I Oxens Tecken) and it appears to be softcore only. Did I get hosed with an edited version or do I have the full film.

This series was definitely hardcore, although softcore versions were released as well.
I checked my version of I tyrens tegn. Dicks penetrate pussies and mouths, which make it a hardcore version I would think. My copy is 80 minutes 43 seconds.

Sorry, but I don't think I can help you out with that. Like I said earlier, I didn't buy them, I won them.
Strange, but all my copies of the different Tegn films are also released by Scanbox, albeit in hardcore versions. And my copy of I tyrens tegn released by Scanbox was not titled I Oxens Tecken, but I tyrens tegn. I'm not sure, but I believe the first is a Swedish (soft?) version, while the second is the original Danish hardcore version.

Dunno if this place ships across the pond, but it's the only Danish DVD shop I know has an English language interface (click the Union Jack in the top left corner).
The last two, I Skyttens Tegn and I Skorpionens Tegn, were IMHO by far the funniest. Unfortunately the hottest girl from the earlier films, Anne Bie Warburg, wasn't in those two. Anna Bergman (Ingmar's daughter, AFAIK) looked almost as hot, but she didn't perform any hardcore scenes.[Link] |

For interested parties: I tyrens tegn on IAFD.
It took me about 6 hours to add this movie, including all the headshots.
btw, for those who like to moan about the lack of quality DVD transfers of classics, take a look at a sample of the 149 screencaps I took from the movie. These are 'raw' caps. I haven't edited them in any way -- no color correction, no sharpening, no fiddling around with size, no anything. If you compare the picture quality of this DVD with 99% of the classics released by American companies, I feel like crying. I would like to show these to the folks at ABA, Video-X-Pic, VCA, Command Video, ... and tell them: "See, it is possible." Remember, this film is over 30 years old.

These films are fantastic!
Early Danish XXX features are some of the best Europe ever produced. The Sinful Dwarf, which originally had hardcore scenes is a personal favorite.[Link] |
