I don't know why the administrators are letting you "shill" for AdultDVDExpire here. That's their business. But!
Having bought adult product at AdultDVDEmpire, I can asure you that that they can't spell "Customer Service", let alone provide any.
For the record, I have purchased product at AdultDVDEmpire, Excalibur, Jaded, DVDAdvantage, DVDExplorer, FiveStar and some others that I forget. AdultDVDEmpire is/was the worst bar none.
I don't give a damn how good their site looks. When I have a problem I want customer service -- not the "run around". Their customer service is Abysmal!
I wouldn't call the Victori() a shill. Maybe a cheerleader but not a shill. We have a lot of forum members that are very loyal to their favorite retailers. A few take a moment to share their enthusiasm in a forum post. While his post may appear to be nothing more than an advertisement it's unfair for the administrators to assume it was solicted in any way by AdultDVDEmpire.
I agree with Drew Black, business of course have their own loyal customers. That means a customer who praise a store may not be a shill. I do like adultdvdempire. I think they have a nice website, especially with stars bios. Their customer service is also friendly. Once or twice I've returned dvds with no hassle. They managed to lower their prices to competitive level. Lastly who can beat their new Shipping charges? Its FREE.
I would suggest Five Star dvd as a good place to get dvds, their site is nice and easy to get around plus they have a decent selection of dvds and the prices are fairly competitive with the other stores online. I rent a lot of dvds now and haven't bought any for awhile but when I find one I really want Five Star is usually where is go first. XRentdvd.com is another great place to rent and also to buy dvds, they have some really good sales usually a new one each month.
Empire's customer service has always been excellent in my experience (I've ordered from them for as long as I've been online and have had a few occasions to put them to the test). In fact, I'd rank their service over Amazon's at this point. I also use 5* quite often, their prices are frequently better and also have good service but lack the options to manage your order after it's been placed the way Empire does (adding and deleting items from unshipped orders). I'd say shipping time at both are equivalent.
FWIW, I like ADE too, but this summer when I had to return a couple of defective DVDs, it took almost a month to receive replacements after I shipped them back. No problems otherwise though, so it was probably just a fluke.
OK, everyone has their own experiences. I'm not going to convince those that like AdultDvdEmpire that it sucks. And they're not going to convince me otherwise.

Empire's responses to my e-mails have always been extremely prompt. I've had to return a few discs that were defective and change my e-mail on my account and never had to wait more than 24 hrs. for a response.
I've used ADE twice now, most recently with their Private sale, the first time was great, and I hope the second time is just as good.
For my money, I use AdultDVDNow I like their customer service, their coupons I get in my mailbox(quite frequently about every other month), and their selection. Their prices may be *slightly* higher($1 oe $2) but the service I get makes up for it IMHO.
I have to harp in on this one. I've shopped at Empire, and I do like their site (despite the amazon-like look), but their services is only OK. There have been times when I have waited for days for an order - no explanation.
I've also shopped at 04-adult-dvd, sexdvd, bluedvd and sexdvd and they all have their pluses and minues, but right now, my favorite is adultdvds.com because their service is kick-ass, not so much in emailing me back when i have a question, but in delivering the goods. I am always amazed when I order and the stuff is there the next day. Good inventory control on their part.
I know I should probably just keep my mouth shut on this, but I just can't help myself.
The best service I have ever had is from FiveStarDvd: 1. They know how to answer emails promply. Nothing pisses me off more than sending an email about a problem and getting no response. The excuse that "we're too busy to answer emails", given by many retailers is bullshit. They seem to have time to put the credit card charges through quick enough. 2. When there is a problem with an order, which happens sometimes, FiveStar does not try to make it the customer's problem. They handle the problem quickly, without a lot of nonsense.
I therefore intend to vote with my wallet, and use FiveStar.
Count me in as one who thinks adultdvdempire.com sucks! Their service is horrible and their prices are not always the greatest either. I choose adultdvdexplorer.com for my adult DVD needs. Adultdvdnow.com is also a very good one. I really don't trust any of the other retailers enough to purchase anything from them, especially adultdvdempire!!! Victorio, you MUST be on their payroll!!
Hi Y2J, I order with ADN (and a few others) also and was wondering where/how you manage to get coupons from them?
On the topic of ADE, I ordered from them once and there was a bit of a problem with the order. It was all resolved in the end and in my personal opinion I found their customer service to be average. By that I mean 50%, 5/10 - not especially good but by no means especially bad either. I wasn't offended but was not excited either. Though I do admit to being impressed with their fast re-think and action on the right-click issue. Listening to customers like that is always a good thing.
Like a lot of others on this forum, I predominantly use 5-Star and ADT both for their service and prices. Though I have recently used Laser's Edge, the jury's still out until after my order arrives ;)
scipio, I've done a lot of business with ADN and I've never received a 'coupon'. But whenever I place an order online, I get the option to receive extra (free)DVDs along with my order. These are usually DVDs that they are probably overstocked (can't sell)with. Most of the DVD are low budget but sometimes I have managed to find a quality DVD that other web sights (like DVD Empire!) are charging full price for! You can also get 10% - 15% off with your purchase from DVD Explorer, depending on how much your original order is before shipping costs. This is why I use DVD Explorer more than any other retailer.
Yep I've been ordering from ADN for.. close to 2 years now and have gotten many a freebie dvd from them, and it's also true that they sometimes have some damned good titles for free, I just saw Y2J's mention of coupons and it piqued my interest.. I mean the cheaper I can get my orders for the more orders I'm going to make :)
I tend to use 5-star for my kickbacking orders, simply because I'm really happy with them and their service - unless a retailer has some sort of unbelevably good sale which makes me try them out, I tend to stick where I'm happiest, and both ADN and 5-star have come through for me consistantly (also I'm in Australia, so I have shipping cost issues to bear in mind etc)
