There could be a lot reasons why: 1. Companies going after bigger names more now instead of shooting with unknown girls because bigger names produce bigger sales. Companies may be offering more money now than before also. 2. Stars are willing to do more IR scenes now because of less opportunities and/or less money otherwise. 3. Some stars (not Kristina ;-)) were less willing to do IR scenes before recession (for whatever reasons including bias) but now because of less opportunities they are willing to accept those jobs. 4. Some stars getting older and may not be as in demand as before or fans tired of seeing them do the same ole vanilla scenes. So they take the work that is being offered to them and if its more IR scenes than so be it. Whatever the reason there are in fact more IR scenes with big stars being shot now than before the recession. Supply and demand at work people. You think those companies didn't want to shoot with same stars before the recession? Of course they did!! It's probably easier to get some of them now. It's a logical observation but not a politically correct one apparently. That being said ... let's all be honest here and not bullshit. As we all know some stars (not Kristina of course;-)) .. *ARE* pressured to avoid IR scenes by their agents and companies. And some stars (not Kristina .. she says ;-)) are in fact paid more money to perform IR scenes than vanilla scenes. To say this is not true is a blatant lie. How many IR movies have been produced in the past years? how many are now? is the number of IR productions increased? Also is the number of IR scenes increased? I mean there were lots of productions with white performers only today is even difficult to find one,today almost any dvd has at least one IR scene in it. The IR market has increased greatly in the past few years , the number of scenes has increased as well there are much more offers to do IR scenes and therefore any performer does more IR scenes than before. It's called DEMAND not crisis and about Lisa and Julia Ann the other market raising is the MILF market and both are superstars in this genre , they don't need to do IR if they don't want to that statistic year per year has no meaning ,to have one you should list how many IR scenes have been offered per year and how many have been shot , if only one scene have been offered and only one have been made and the year after 4 scenes have been offered and 4 have been shot and so on , then it can't be said it was because of the crisis it simply mean they weren't offered that much If you have evidence of some refusal in the past than it may make sense but random numbers related by an unsupported assumption are meaningless Edited by - Laurie Cameron Fan on 12/4/2011 8:09:49 AM [Link] |

Why? simple IR market was increasing, the market was demanding more and more IR and thus many more scenes had to be shot and thus many more IR scenes were offered and of course accepted. you can't cut out the fact that the market has changed during the past 4 years. And I'm saying the IR fans *ALWAYS* wanted to see those stars doing IR scenes but it didn't happen as frequently or in some cases at all until after the recession occurred. Companies are now able to get them to do IR scenes more frequently than before the recession. That's my point. Whatever the cause or reason .. the numbers back this up. So I agree with you that DEMAND is why these scenes are being shot but I'm saying the DEMAND was always there. But for whatever reason it took market forces to make it happen. You want to make money now then give the fans want they want, and the IR fans wanted to see more big name stars doing IR instead of the same ole vanilla scenes they have seen before. Also just to clarify I not focusing on when that star did their first IR scene? I'm talking about the frequency of IR scenes. The numbers clearly show a major growth trend occurring after the recession hit. Lot more stars more doing more IR scenes now. Which is good for IR fans. I don't want to keep debating this. Just want to make it clear if the recession had not happened and companies were still making lot of money shooting vanilla scenes you would not see so many big name stars doing IR. And its not just IR scenes. This has long been a sore subject for me. When I first started in the biz, my agent told me to never do IR. I was actually shocked to learn it was considered taboo. I just assumed that white/black/Hispanic/Asian/Klingon/whatever was all the same in the world of porn. Of course, though, now I realize I was very, very wrong (unfortunately). So, due to Mr. Agent Man’s advice, I put off doing it, and turned down a lot of IR work (even though it really did hurt me every time. (. I’ve also been told that there are certain companies that won’t hire you if you do IR, and clubs in “certain areas” that won’t let you feature if you shoot it. (And being from those “certain areas” I can see where that might very well be true.) But I’ve felt so much guilt over this for so long, that I finally just decided it was time to evolve, and let the chips fall where they may. If certain people don’t like me and don’t want to work with me any longer bc of the color of some of my co-stars’ skin, that’s really sad, pathetic, and not something I want to condone, any way. (Side note: I know some people hold off doing IR or anal or whatever else it is they don’t really want to do until they get really desperate and start trying to extend their career.
